JOB OVERVIEW

We are a US-based bookkeeping and payroll firm serving small to mid-sized businesses. We are seeking a full-time remote bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks Online experience and familiarity with US accounting standards.

This is a long-term position for someone who is detail-oriented, structured, and experienced working with US clients.

We are building a professional accounting firm — not a freelance gig operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

• Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll journal entries
• Prepare support documentation for sales tax filings
• Maintain clean and organized client files
• Follow detailed SOP checklists
• Meet strict monthly close deadlines
• Communicate clearly in written English

Accuracy is more important than speed.

REQUIREMENTS

You MUST have:

• Minimum 3 years QuickBooks Online experience
• Experience working with US clients
• Strong bank reconciliation skills
• Understanding of accrual vs cash basis accounting
• Basic payroll knowledge (US payroll preferred)
• Strong written English
• Stable high-speed internet
• Quiet home workspace
• Ability to follow documented processes

Preferred:

• Experience using Gusto
• Experience with US sales tax
• Experience managing multiple clients
• Experience working under US accounting firm
