We are hiring a dedicated developer to work directly with the founder and build, deploy, maintain, and improve AI agents, business automations, internal tools, dashboards, and web applications.

You must be capable of taking a business idea, clarifying the requirements, recommending a practical approach, building the solution, and keeping it working after launch.

POSITION DETAILS

• Employment: Full-time, long-term, remote.
• Compensation: $2,000–$3,500 USD per month, depending on demonstrated experience and technical ability.
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Saturday.
• Working overlap: At least 3 agreed hours each day overlapping with US Eastern Time. Remaining hours are flexible.
• Start date: Following a successful paid technical trial and any agreed notice period.
• Tools: Company-approved development tools, API usage, and hosting are paid separately.

FULL-TIME, EXCLUSIVE COMMITMENT — REQUIRED

This position is for someone who wants to become part of our team, take ownership, and build with us over the long term.

This is not a temporary position, a side job, or a project-by-project engagement. We are hiring an individual who is ready to make us their only employer/client during the engagement.

You must be willing to:

• Commit 40 working hours per week to this role.
• End other employment, paid freelance client work, and ongoing agency commitments before your agreed start date.
• Personally perform the work without outsourcing or subcontracting.
• Maintain consistent availability during the agreed schedule.
• Stay involved after launch to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve what you build.

If you intend to maintain multiple jobs, split your working time between clients, or accept outside client projects during this engagement, do not apply.

WHAT YOU WILL BUILD

Projects may include:

• n8n workflows connecting business applications and automating recurring tasks.
• AI agents that retrieve information, use tools, and complete defined business processes.
• OpenClaw and Hermes deployments with custom tools, skills, and integrations.
• Internal dashboards, reporting tools, and administrative applications.
• Web applications and portals connected to databases and backend services.
• Integrations between CRMs, email, messaging platforms, calendars, documents, and other business systems.
• Adaptations of suitable open-source GitHub projects.

You will work from an agreed priority list with clear milestones. You should be comfortable recommending when to use an existing tool, adapt an open-source project, or write custom software.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

1. n8n AND WORKFLOW AUTOMATION

You must be able to build and troubleshoot workflows beyond basic templates.

Required capabilities:

• Webhook, scheduled, and event-triggered workflows.
• HTTP requests, REST APIs, JSON, and data transformation.
• API keys, OAuth, and credential management.
• Conditional logic, branching, loops, and reusable sub-workflows.
• Custom JavaScript or other supported code steps.
• Pagination, rate limits, timeouts, retries, and error handling.
• Duplicate prevention so repeated events do not create repeated actions.
• Execution logs, failure alerts, and workflow troubleshooting.
• Connecting workflows to databases, CRMs, email, messaging, and other applications.
• Maintaining and updating workflows without disrupting existing processes.

2. AI AGENT DEVELOPMENT

You must have built working agents that perform tasks through tools or integrations.

Required capabilities:

• Tool calling and structured outputs.
• Connecting agents to APIs and business applications.
• Retrieving relevant information from documents or databases.
• Managing conversation state, context, and persistent memory appropriately.
• Designing multistep workflows with clear completion criteria.
• Adding approval steps before sensitive or consequential actions.
• Handling failed tool calls, invalid outputs, and incomplete tasks.
• Setting execution limits to prevent runaway loops and unnecessary spending.
• Testing whether an agent completes its intended task reliably.
• Understanding when a predictable automation is more appropriate than an agent.

3. OPENCLAW AND HERMES

Hands-on experience with both is required. State your experience with each separately.

You should be able to:

• Install, configure, and run the system.
• Connect supported model providers and tools.
• Configure available integrations, skills, memory, and scheduled tasks.
• Customize or extend functionality for a defined use case.
• Diagnose configuration, authentication, dependency, and runtime problems.
• Manage updates and document the deployment.
• Explain what you personally built or configured.

4. CLAUDE CODE AND CODEX

You must be comfortable using both as part of a software development workflow.

You should be able to:

• Work inside an existing repository.
• Give coding tools clear requirements and project context.
• Review generated code and identify incorrect assumptions.
• Run tests, debug failures, and verify functionality.
• Inspect changes before committing or deploying them.
• Explain the code and architecture you deliver.
• Maintain and modify the system without depending on blindly generated output.

5. MODEL API INTEGRATIONS

Experience integrating Anthropic/Claude, OpenAI, and xAI/Grok is required.

You should understand:

• Authentication, model selection, and request configuration.
• Tool calling and structured responses.
• Context limits, token usage, rate limits, and timeouts.
• Error handling and appropriate fallback behavior.
• Tracking usage and estimating operating costs.
• Choosing a model based on task requirements, reliability, speed, and cost.

6. PROGRAMMING AND BACKEND DEVELOPMENT

Strong proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript is required.

You must be able to:

• Write, read, debug, and maintain custom code.
• Build backend services and API endpoints.
• Work with asynchronous tasks and external integrations.
• Validate inputs and handle errors clearly.
• Manage dependencies and environment configuration.
• Write meaningful tests for important functionality.
• Read unfamiliar codebases and make controlled changes.

7. DATABASES AND DATA HANDLING

You should have practical experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or an equivalent system.

Required capabilities:

• Designing appropriate tables and relationships.
• Reading, inserting, updating, and querying records.
• Managing schema changes and migrations.
• Maintaining data consistency and avoiding duplicate records.
• Applying appropriate access permissions.
• Backing up and restoring application data.
• Connecting databases to applications, workflows, and agents.

8. GIT AND GITHUB

You must be comfortable managing real development work through GitHub.

Required capabilities:

• Cloning, evaluating, and adapting existing repositories.
• Understanding project dependencies, maintenance status, and license restrictions before reuse.
• Working with branches, commits, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Resolving merge conflicts and reverting problematic changes.
• Tracking issues and documenting setup instructions.
• Keeping API keys, credentials, and private data out of repositories.
• Configuring or maintaining basic automated checks and deployment workflows, including GitHub Actions when appropriate.

9. FULL-STACK APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

You must be able to connect a usable interface to a working backend.

Required capabilities:

• Building responsive dashboards, forms, and administrative interfaces.
• Using a modern frontend framework such as React/Next.js or an equivalent.
• Implementing authentication and appropriate user permissions.
• Connecting interfaces to APIs and databases.
• Handling loading, empty, success, and error states.
• Verifying that buttons, forms, navigation, and data updates work end to end.
• Troubleshooting problems across the frontend, backend, and database.

10. DEPLOYMENT AND SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

You must be able to deploy and support what you build.

Required capabilities:

• Working with cloud hosting or Linux servers.
• Using the command line and reading application logs.
• Configuring environment variables and credentials securely.
• Working with Docker or comparable deployment tooling.
• Setting up domains and HTTPS when needed.
• Monitoring availability, failures, and resource usage.
• Managing backups, updates, and recovery procedures.
• Maintaining a practical rollback plan for significant changes.
• Documenting enough detail for another developer to operate the system.

EXPERIENCE AND WORKING STYLE

We are looking for:

• Approximately 3+ years of software development experience, or equivalent evidence of substantial shipped projects.
• Demonstrated experience with AI agents and business automation.
• Ability to work independently on clearly defined objectives.
• Clear written and spoken English.
• Willingness to ask questions before making consequential assumptions.
• Honest estimates and early communication about blockers.
• Attention to reliability, usability, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
• Ability to recommend simpler solutions when they meet the business need.
• Reliable internet and a computer suitable for development work.

HOW WE WORK

• Tasks are prioritized with the founder.
• Deliverables include working software, verification, and documentation.
• Provide a brief daily update covering completed work, next steps, and blockers.
• Give a weekly demonstration of working progress.
• Keep code, workflows, project files, and deployment accounts under company ownership.
• Get approval before introducing new paid services or materially increasing operating costs.
• Use sample or test data during development where appropriate.
• Maintain the systems you deliver and address issues during agreed working hours.

INITIAL SUCCESS EXPECTATIONS

During the first month, you should be able to:

• Understand our initial priorities and recommend a practical implementation plan.
• Establish organized repositories, development environments, and deployment documentation.
• Deliver an agreed first automation or agent with working integrations.
• Demonstrate handling of failures and repeated inputs.
• Explain the solution, its limitations, and its operating costs.
• Leave clear instructions for setup, maintenance, and recovery.

Specific deliverables will be agreed based on project scope.
