JOB OVERVIEW

We’re seeking an experienced full stack developer with a strong command of Shopify's theme system and data layer to support ongoing customizations to an established Shopify storefront. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the frontend and backend, and thrives on creating flexible, scalable, and cleanly integrated functionality within the Shopify ecosystem.

Responsibilities

* Build custom features using Liquid, JavaScript, and Shopify’s Online Store 2.0 architecture
* Work with metaobjects, metafields, and Shopify APIs to model and manage custom data
* Integrate external headless database services or lightweight backends (e.g. Firebase, Airtable) to handle advanced data needs
* Ensure front-end UX is responsive, performant, and accessible across devices

Preferred Skills

* Shopify theme development (Liquid, JSON templates, Dawn-based themes)
* Experience with Shopify's metaobject editor
* Familiarity with Shopify's APIs (Admin API, Storefront API) and secure data architecture
* Backend familiarity with services like Firebase, Supabase, or AWS
