About the role
Importivity is building an internal AI-powered operations ecosystem: specialized agents, business automations, lead intelligence, and content workflows that run real business processes every day. We're looking for an engineer who sees AI as more than prompting models, someone who combines software engineering, automation, data, APIs, and LLMs into systems that solve operational problems.
You'll work directly with the founder and AI engineering team, with high ownership and the chance to shape our AI infrastructure from the ground up.
PLEASE only apply if you are truly passionate about creating a career. We have a very low turnover rate, and many of our employees and partners have been with us for 5+ years. We all prefer to work with people who take their responsibilities seriously. Please only apply if you are confident you can meet and exceed expectations. Read job description carefully please.
Starting Salary: 800/Mo + Annual Bonus
Time Zone: Central Time Zone (HQ Austin, Texas)
Hours per week: 40
Holidays: PAID
What you'll build...
Agents that analyze
Workflows that research and enrich prospects, analyze their online presence, and score them against campaign requirements to drive outbound performance.
Systems that sync Google Drive and ClickUp, organize assets, and manage production and publishing pipelines.
Multi-agent workflows, tool integrations, retrieval systems, and internal AI assistants.
Required skills..
Python: API integrations, background jobs, data processing, production debugging, and clean, maintainable code.
AI/LLMs: hands-on with OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, or Gemini, plus prompt engineering, structured outputs, function calling, tool use, agent workflows, and RAG.
Full stack: comfortable understanding and modifying full-stack systems (frontend fundamentals, backend, databases, auth,
API design, deployment). You don't need to be a frontend specialist.
Integrations: Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive APIs), ClickUp, webhooks, and third-party APIs.
Databases: PostgreSQL, Supabase, vector databases, and data modeling.
Nice to have...
LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, MCP servers, Docker, cloud infrastructure, Next.js/React, and experience with lead gen or content management systems.
Who we're looking for...
We care more about capability and mindset than credentials. You build projects outside of work, learn new tools fast, think like an owner, and work independently. You understand both the engineering and the business impact, and you want to grow into a senior AI systems builder.
How to apply...
Show us what you've built: relevant AI projects, automation systems, agents or workflows, your GitHub if you have one, and a short note on the most technically challenging project you've worked on. What you've built matters far more than formal qualifications.
