Freight Support Specialist - Ally Logistics

ROLE SUMMARY:
We’re looking for a Freight Support Specialist to play a central role across scheduling, operations, and agent support—ensuring freight is built, scheduled, and executed efficiently while all supporting processes (billing, POD collection, and documentation) are completed accurately and on time. This person will serve as a trusted partner to agents, proactively managing loads, resolving issues, and driving end-to-end execution with speed, accuracy, and strong communication, while also supporting occasional cash application, collections, and billing tasks as needed.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Build, schedule, and manage shipments in TMS platforms or via
? Coordinate same-day and next-day freight coverage across multiple equipment types
? Create and manage loads in E2open and other TMS systems
? Maintain accurate shipment visibility through timely system updates (in/out times, status updates)
? Act as a primary point of contact for agents, providing proactive communication and support
? Handle escalations quickly to minimize disruptions and maintain service levels
? Manage POD collection, validation, and uploads to support timely invoicing
? Own billing, cash application, and collections for assigned accounts
? Ensure all loads are closed out accurately with complete documentation
? Support accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections to ensure accurate and timely billing.
COMPENSATION:
Compensation will be determined based on experience & skills.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
? Experience in logistics/freight across billing, operations, or scheduling
? Comfortable working in TMS systems and communicating with both customers and agents
? Strong communicator who can confi dently support agents and problem-solve in real time
? Understanding of the full freight lifecycle, including timely appointment scheduling to keep loads moving efficiently
