We are an established online education provider seeking a technically strong freelance contractor to support and evolve our WooCommerce and FG Funnels infrastructure.
This is not a basic site-administration role. You will be responsible for maintaining, extending, and integrating a live commercial system that supports paid enrolments, subscriptions, automations, and reporting. We are looking for someone comfortable working across plugins, APIs, and custom logic, with minimal supervision.
The engagement is part-time, ongoing, and suited to a contractor who values clean implementations, reliability, and ownership.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and optimise a WooCommerce-based e-commerce platform in a live production environment
• Build, manage, and refine funnels using FG Funnels, with a focus on conversion and data integrity
• Develop and extend WooCommerce functionality, including working across multiple plugins and custom configurations
• Build, customise, and maintain integrations between WooCommerce, funnels, CRM,
• Design and implement API-based integrations, including custom API connections where off-the-shelf solutions are insufficient
• Troubleshoot complex checkout, payment, subscription, and automation issues
• Implement updates, performance improvements, and fixes with care for stability and backward compatibility
• Support course launches, enrolments, and promotional activity
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of customer, order, and subscription data across systems
Required Experience
• Strong, hands-on WooCommerce experience, including products, subscriptions, payments, and plugin ecosystems
• PHP and WordPress development experience, with the ability to read, understand, and modify existing code
• Demonstrable experience developing WooCommerce solutions beyond standard configuration
• Experience working with APIs, webhooks, and custom integrations
• Proven experience with FG Funnels or comparable funnel-building platforms
• Comfortable working across interconnected systems rather than isolated tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Clear written communication and ability to work independently from brief to implementation
Nice to Have (Not Essential)
• Experience building or maintaining custom WordPress plugins
• Experience with headless or semi-headless WooCommerce setups
• Familiarity with payment gateways beyond Stripe and PayPal
• Experience supporting digital products, memberships, or online education platforms
