About us

Med School Insiders is a physician-led company that helps students get into medical school and match into residency. We publish blog content, YouTube videos, and social media for premeds and medical students, and we need a designer to help produce the graphics behind that content.

The Role

This is a freelance, independent contractor role. Work starts on a project basis with a set price per project or deliverable. Expected volume is roughly 10 to 20 hours per week.

You can work from any time zone. Most work is asynchronous, so we only need light overlap with our team for occasional check-ins and feedback.

What you’ll make

- Blog featured images and in-article graphics
- Video thumbnails
- Social media graphics across platforms

Requirements

- A portfolio showing previous graphic work
- Ability to follow an existing brand style guide closely and consistently
- Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop (or similar), Canva, and Figma.
- Reliable turnaround on agreed deadlines
- Clear written English for async feedback and revisions
- Comfortable quoting and working on a per-project basis

Nice to have

- Experience designing for education, healthcare, or YouTube creators
- Experience with click-through-focused thumbnail design
- Basic motion graphics or animated social assets
- Experience in After Effects, Premiere, or CapCut is a plus.
