Freelance Digital Artist / Illustrator
Remote – Philippines | Project-Based / Ongoing | £200 per Artwork

About Vixa

Vixa is a UK-based agency that connects UK businesses with exceptional remote talent.

We're starting a new tradition for our long-term clients. When a client reaches one year with Vixa, we'd like to commission a unique piece of artwork inspired by their business, story, values, and the impact they have on their customers.

The finished artwork will be professionally printed and framed at A2 size and personally presented to the client for display in their office.

We're looking for a talented Filipino digital artist or illustrator to help us bring these ideas to life.

The Role
For each project, we'll provide a creative brief covering:
The client's business and brand
Their story, values, and what they do for customers
Key themes and emotions to communicate
Their website and existing visual identity
Creative ideas and concepts to explore

Your job is to turn that information into a beautiful, original piece of artwork that someone would genuinely want to display in their office.

This is not a corporate graphic design or social media design role. We are looking for art.
Depending on the brief and your artistic style, the work could be:

Abstract
Illustrative
Symbolic
Painterly
Conceptual
A combination of different artistic approaches

Example Project
One of our first projects is for a UK estate-planning company.
Their work is about more than wills and legal documents. They help families protect what they've built and create certainty for future generations.
Possible themes include:
Legacy • Family • Protection • Heritage • Peace • Home • Generations • Continuity

We want the artist to interpret these ideas creatively rather than simply illustrating legal documents or generic corporate imagery.

What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in artists who have:
A strong portfolio of original digital artwork or illustration
Excellent composition and visual storytelling skills
The ability to turn abstract ideas into compelling visual concepts
A distinctive artistic style
Strong attention to detail
Good communication skills
The ability to work from a creative brief
Experience creating artwork suitable for large-format printing
Previous experience working with UK clients is not required.
Your artistic ability and portfolio are what matter most.

Deliverables
Each commissioned artwork will normally be:
A2 Landscape – 594 × 420 mm
Artwork should be suitable for professional printing at 300 DPI.
Final deliverables will normally include:
High-resolution, print-ready artwork
Editable/source file where applicable
Commercial usage rights allowing Vixa and the client to print, display, photograph, and feature the commissioned artwork in marketing/content
Exact printing specifications will be provided before final export.

How the Process Works
You'll receive a detailed creative brief about the client.
You'll develop an initial concept or sketch.
We'll review and agree on the creative direction.
You'll produce the finished artwork.
A small number of reasonable revisions may be requested.
Once approved, the final artwork will be delivered to Vixa.
Vixa will handle the printing and framing in the UK.

Rate & Ongoing Work
Rate: £200 per completed artwork
This is a project-based opportunity with potential for ongoing work.
We're looking for an artist we can build a long-term relationship with as Vixa grows.

As more of our clients reach important milestones, we'd like to commission additional pieces. Our long-term goal is to build a recognizable collection of original artwork created by Filipino talent for businesses across the UK.

Please do not create unpaid sample artwork for this application.

We'll shortlist artists based primarily on their existing portfolios. Selected artists may be offered a paid concept project before we choose an artist for ongoing commissions.

We're looking for someone who can take a business story and turn it into something genuinely beautiful and meaningful.
