JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role
I'm a maternity & family photographer based in Canada with a warm, storytelling-driven brand - and I'm looking for a reliable, creative, and organized virtual assistant to support the behind-the-scenes of my growing business.

This isn't photo editing. You'll be helping keep the heart of my brand alive online - from social media to blog content to client-facing materials - while I focus on being behind the camera and in front of clients. As my business expands more into education, workshops, and creative projects, there's real long-term growth potential for the right person.

What You'll Be Doing:
Planning and scheduling social media content
Writing SEO-friendly captions and blog posts
Creating Instagram Reels and carousels in Canva/ SCRL/ Edits
Creating Pinterest pins and managing Pinterest content using existing photos and content
Formatting and sending newsletters
Uploading and organizing WordPress content
Basic SEO tasks (alt text, file naming, keywords)
Formatting and preparing final client galleries in Sprout Studio
Supporting a potential gallery migration to Pic-Time
Organizing Google Drive folders and files
Managing and organizing Canva templates
Re-creating and updating client-facing materials in Canva
Task and project tracking in ClickUp and Notion
Data entry and workflow support
Updating new client closet items in styling software
Creating and maintaining SOPs and internal systems

Training, templates, and SOPs will be provided - you won't be starting from scratch.

Strong written and verbal English
Canva experience with elevated design instincts (I don't want basic thrown together slop - my brand is high end)
Organized, dependable, and deadline-driven
Strong attention to detail
Reliable, fast internet connection
Ability to work independently and communicate proactively

Bonus Skills
WordPress or Elementor experience
SEO knowledge
Pinterest strategy or content creation experience
Sprout Studio or Pic-Time familiarity
Experience supporting podcasts or online education brands

Hours & Compensation
This is a freelance role. Current average workload is approximately 6–10 hours per week, with additional hours during busy seasons. A minimum of 6 hours per week is consistent year-round.
Rate: $5 USD/hour, with room to grow as the role expands.
Payment is made bi-weekly via Wise.

Availability
I'm looking for someone who is reachable and online between 9am–1pm EST on weekdays while also having the flexibility to complete tasks independently before deadlines. Most tasks have a 24–48 hour turnaround window.
Communication is primarily through WhatsApp, with tasks and projects managed in ClickUp and Notion.
