Most marketing hires wait to be told what to post.
We're looking for the opposite: an experienced Chief Marketing Officer who walks in asking —
"Is our marketing actually working?"
"Where are we getting real ROI?"
"What should we stop doing tomorrow?"
"Where should we invest more — and why?"
If those are the questions you ask before anyone asks you, keep reading.
Who we are
We're the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys (AAEPA), a U.S.-based organization that helps attorneys grow their law firms through membership, training, and strategic education. We're established, we're growing, and we're ready for a senior marketing mind to help us grow smarter.
The role
This is a Fractional CMO position — part-time, remote, high-trust. You won't be handed a checklist. You'll be handed the whole marketing ecosystem and asked to make sense of it.
We need someone who can look at everything we're doing, dig into the numbers, and tell us — with confidence — what's working, what isn't, why, and what we do next.
What you'll own
- Audit our current marketing and determine what's actually producing results.
- Build and monitor tracking so we can measure campaign performance and ROI with confidence.
- Recommend where to invest, cut, or reallocate the marketing budget.
- Analyze our CRM, contact database, lifecycle stages, funnels, and attribution.
- Spot growth opportunities we're missing.
- Deliver a focused 30/60/90-day plan built around high-impact activities.
What you bring
- Senior-level B2B marketing experience — ideally as a CMO, marketing director, or fractional marketing leader.
- Comfort living in the metrics: ROI, conversion rates, attribution, CAC, budgets.
- Real command of CRMs, funnels, email marketing, automation, and analytics.
- The judgment to work independently, prioritize ruthlessly, and make smart calls with limited hours.
- Excellent written English and clear, confident communication.
Big bonus if you've worked with membership organizations, professional associations, coaching, training, education, or other longer-sales-cycle business models.
This is a great fit if you…
- Love figuring things out.
- Don't need to be managed hour by hour.
- Can comfortably say, "This isn't working, and here's why."
- Know how to turn data into decisions.
- Want real, visible impact on a growing organization.
This is NOT a fit if you're an executor looking for tasks to check off. This is also not a social media manager role — we have people for execution. We need someone to own the strategy.
How to apply (please read — this matters):
Don't send a generic application. In your reply, tell us:
One marketing program you audited or ran where you changed the decision based on the data — what did you find, and what did you recommend?
The tools/CRMs and analytics stacks you know best.
Your availability (hours/week) and your expected rate.
Applications that follow these three steps go to the top of our list. Applications that don't, we skip.
If this sounds like you — or someone you rate highly — apply or share it with them.
