Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on FP&A professional who thrives on building financial models, analyzing complex data, and delivering actionable insights. This is not a reporting role — it is heavy analytics and forecasting position where you will provide leadership with the models and insights needed to drive strategy and execution. Prior mortgage or financial services industry experience is a strong plus. This position offers remote/work-from-home flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Modeling & Forecasting
o Build, own, and refine driver-based financial models to forecast business performance.
o Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to guide executive decisions.
o Translate business drivers (labor capacity, loan volumes, margins, costs) into actionable financial forecasts.
• Analytics & Decision Support
o Conduct deep-dive analytics on capacity, future production, revenue drivers, expense, and other levels’ performance.
o Identify patterns, trends in loan production, labor needs, branch profitability, and cost structures.
o Provide “what-if” modeling.
• Business Partnership
o Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Operations, Branch Finance, and Senior Leadership.
o Support strategic projects such as vendor ROI evaluations and corporate, operational and branch office labor capacity and future, forecasted needs.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field (MBA/CPA/CFA a plus).
• 4–7 years of FP&A, financial modeling, or analytics experience (mortgage/financial services strongly preferred).
• Hands-on modeling expertise in Excel — must be able to build complex, driver-based models from scratch.
• Strong forecasting know-how and comfort with large data sets.
• Experience with analytics and BI tools (Power BI) a plus but not a requirement.
• Deep understanding of P&L drivers
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote/WFH setting.
