We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our high-performing remote team. If you're a proactive finance professional who thrives on ownership, continuous improvement, and meaningful work, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Be Doing
As our Financial Accountant, you’ll be a key player in ensuring accurate, insightful, and timely financial reporting. You’ll collaborate across teams, drive process improvement, and uphold the financial integrity of our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
-Own the Month-End Close
Lead all aspects of EOM: journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement prep.
-Deliver Insightful Reporting
Produce monthly and quarterly management reports, including variance and trend analysis.
-Ensure Regulatory Compliance
Prepare BAS, IAS, and statutory filings, ensuring alignment with AASB and tax standards.
-Champion Continuous Improvement
Streamline workflows, introduce automation, and enhance internal controls.
-Collaborate Cross-Functionally
Partner with Marketing, Operations, and other non-finance teams to align on budget and strategy.
-Support Strategic Projects
Get involved in cost analysis, ERP upgrades, and special projects that shape our financial future.

About You
You’re not just technically sharp, you bring heart and high standards to everything you do. You thrive in fast-paced environments and care about doing work that matters.

Must-Haves:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
-CPA/CA qualification (or in-progress).
-2–3+ years' experience in financial accounting, ideally in service-led sectors.
-Familiarity with Australian accounting standards, BAS/IAS, and financial reporting.
-Understanding of various accounting standards relevant to Bare and consolidations of many entities.
-Attention to detail and excellent reconciliation skills
-Strong ERP (MYOB, Xero, SAP) and Excel skills.
-Strong Excel/Sheets skills and automation of manual processes in your mindset-DNA

Nice-to-Haves:
• Experience in mission-driven sectors (healthcare, aged care, funeral services).
• Adaptability in high-growth or high-volume environments.
• Resilient, working with little or no supervision.
• Experience of managing international teams, interaction with multi-entity organizations, and experience within companies with a minimum annual revenue of $50 million.
• Handle ambiguity, competing priorities, and strict deadlines. Create and implement scalable processes, including training. Integrate AI and automation.
