JOB OVERVIEW

We run a portfolio of e-commerce stores across Europe, the UK, the US. We move fast, we scale hard, and our numbers need to keep up. This role sits at the centre of that.

What this role actually is
We're not looking for someone to type numbers into cells. We're looking for a finance person who takes ownership of our profitability picture and tells us things we don't already know.

Your daily work:

- Maintain and update our daily P&L sheet ad spend across Meta, pinterest and Google, cost of goods, subscriptions, fees, refunds.
- Collect and organise every invoice into our drive folder, and make sure each one is correctly reflected in the P&L
- Track recurring subscriptions and flag anything we're paying for and not using
- Keep our COGS tracking accurate across multiple stores and currencies
- Send daily and update in slack regarding the P/L of the day before + Estimated profit on weekly basis.
- Send weekly report in slack regarding the P/L every monday

That part takes roughly an hour a day. But the reason we're hiring is what comes on top:

- Spot where margin is leaking before we do.
- Build better systems and processes so this work gets faster and more reliable over time
- Be very experienced with claude to build certain tools and dashboards that can give us better insights in the whole business

We do not want to micromanage this. If we have to tell you what to look at, it isn't working.

What you need to have
Solid finance or bookkeeping background you understand P&L structure, margin, and what actually drives profitability in a business
Advanced Google Sheets skills. Our COGS tracking is big and complex. You should be comfortable with nested formulas, lookups, ARRAYFORMULA, QUERY, and building things that don't break
Excellent experience using Claude (Anthropic's AI). We use it throughout the business and you'll be expected to use it to work faster.
Strong English, written and spoken
Genuine ownership mentality. You ask questions, you flag problems, you don't wait to be told

Nice to have

E-commerce or dropshipping finance experience
Experience with Shopify, Meta Ads Manager, or Google Ads reporting
Any automation or scripting experience (Apps Script, Zapier, Make)

Where this goes

This starts as a focused daily finance role. For the right person it grows into a broader process and systems optimisation position building automations, improving how the whole operation runs, and working directly with AI tooling across departments. If you're good, there's a lot more here than an hour a day.

Bonus: serious Claude expertise

This is where it gets interesting for us. Beyond the finance work, we want someone who is genuinely expert with Claude not "I've used ChatGPT a few times," but someone who builds with it.

If you can do these things, tell us, because it changes the role and the pay massively:
Build dashboards and internal tools with Claude reporting views, trackers, anything that turns scattered data into something we can act on
Design and build agents that handle recurring work without a human in the loop
Apply Claude across departments, not just finance: customer service workflows, COGS analysis, supplier communication, listing quality, dispute handling
Look at how a department currently works and rebuild the process around what Claude can actually do — rather than bolting AI onto a broken system

We already use Claude throughout the business and we're pushing it further. If you're the person who sees a manual process and immediately knows how to automate it, this role can become a lot bigger than a daily P&L update.
