Role
We are currently seeking a well-rounded individual to join our team as Accounting Manager. This position will include compiling and analyzing financial data, complying with accounting and financial regulations, and providing reports to management. This position will require a firm grasp of US accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer and verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
Manage month-end financial accounting close, and provide monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
Maintain control and accuracy of the general ledger
Ensure internal financial control procedures are in place and compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
Implement budgeting and forecasting and provide financial analysis to management
Cost accounting - analyzing project and manufacturing costs, as well as company budgets and expenses
Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Interface with the companies' external tax accountants, banks and insurance providers
Requirements
5+ years experience in accounting
Competence with software. Mainstream uses Microsoft Business Central - we can train - but there needs to be generally good competence with software
Strong integrity and accountability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CPA preferred, not required
