JOB OVERVIEW

Are you someone who does not just manage numbers — but builds systems around them?

Residentas is an international hospitality company operating premium properties in Europe and the United States.

We are building one of the most AI-integrated operations in our industry — including our finance function.

This is not a traditional finance role.

We are not looking for a bookkeeper.

We are looking for a Finance & AI Systems Operator — someone who understands financial operations deeply and immediately asks:

- how do I structure this
- how do I automate this
- how do I turn this into decisions

If you think finance is about reports, this role is not for you.

If you think finance is about building systems that drive the business — read on.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Financial Operations (Foundation)
- Managing core finance workflows: invoicing, reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable
- Supporting cross-border finance (US & Portugal)
- Working with tools such as Stripe, Guesty, InvoiceXpress
- Liaising with external accountants and tax advisors

Systems & Control (THIS IS THE REAL JOB)
- Connecting and reconciling data across systems
- Identifying inconsistencies and fixing root causes
- Building financial visibility (cash, revenue, costs)
- Flagging risks before they become problems

Automation & AI
- Identifying manual processes and eliminating them
- Building automations (Zapier, Make, etc.)
- Using AI (ChatGPT, Claude) to:
- analyze financial data
- improve reporting
- reduce manual work

Decision Support
- Creating dashboards and scorecards leadership actually uses
- Structuring data so it becomes decision-ready

REQUIREMENTS

-- Minimum 2 years experience in finance / accounting / operations
-- Strong Excel / Google Sheets
-- Experience using AI tools in real work
-- Experience with automation tools (Zapier, Make or similar)
-- Strong English
-- Ability to work independently
-- Bonus: cross-border finance, Stripe, dashboards, hospitality
