JOB OVERVIEW

We are a US-based ecommerce company hiring full-time video editors to produce short video ads (30–60 seconds) for Facebook and Instagram. This is a long-term, permanent full-time position — we are looking for people who want stable work with one company, not a short project. We are hiring MORE THAN ONE editor for this role.

THE JOB

You will receive a complete package for every ad: a finished script, a creative brief, and example videos showing the style to match. Your job is to turn that package into a finished video ad:

- Generate AI video clips using image-to-video tools (we use Kling via Higgsfield — we provide all accounts and all tools, you pay for nothing)
- Generate the starting images for those clips with AI image tools, using prompts you develop with our AI assistant
- Source real B-roll clips from TikTok, YouTube, and similar platforms where the shot calls for it
- Generate the voiceover with AI (ElevenLabs) from the provided script
- Assemble everything in the editing software you are most comfortable with (CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, etc.): edit to the voiceover, add captions, add music, export
- Each ad is delivered as three versions with different openings (we will train you on our exact method — it is fast once learned)

You do not write scripts and you do not need marketing knowledge. We provide the script, the brief, and the reference videos. You provide clean, fast, good-looking execution. Work is assigned and tracked through a simple board — you always know exactly what to work on next.

REQUIREMENTS (all of these are hard requirements)

- Proven video editing experience — you must link a portfolio or showreel in your application. Ideally it includes short-form ads or social content. Applications without a linked portfolio will be rejected.
- Hands-on experience with at least one AI video or image generation tool (Kling, Runway, Pika, Midjourney, or similar) — tell us which ones and how you've used them
- Skilled in the editing software of your choice (CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or similar) — tell us which one you use

A BIG PLUS (not required, but tell us if you have it)

- Experience using Claude (the AI assistant by Anthropic) or similar AI chat assistants — you will use Claude daily to break scripts into scenes and write generation prompts (we provide the prompts and will train you)
- Good written English — all communication is written and async
- Reliable internet connection AND backup power/internet for outages
- Individual applicants only — no agencies, no teams. The person who applies is the person who does the work.
- Available full-time (8 hours/day, Monday–Saturday)

PAY

$800–$1,400 USD/month depending on experience, fixed, paid reliably every month. Real opportunity for pay growth as your output proves itself — we are building a long-term creative team and this role grows with the company.

HOW TO APPLY

5. Answer this short exercise. Imagine you are producing a video ad from a script we gave you. Four situations come up. For each one, tell us which ONE action you would take and give one sentence explaining why.

a) One line of the script feels awkward to you and you think you could word it better. Do you: REWRITE IT / FLAG IT AND BUILD IT AS WRITTEN / SKIP THAT LINE?
b) The example video we gave you for style reference features a well-known influencer talking to camera. Do you: CLIP HER FOOTAGE INTO OUR AD / RECREATE THE SAME STYLE OF SHOT WITH AN AI-GENERATED PERSON / ASK US TO LICENSE HER FOOTAGE?
c) An AI-generated clip looks great except the person's hands are warped. Do you: SHIP IT, VIEWERS WON'T NOTICE / REGENERATE THE CLIP WITH A FIXED PROMPT / CROP THE HANDS OUT IF POSSIBLE, OTHERWISE REGENERATE?
d) You need a generic clip of a dog running in a park and can't find good free footage. Do you: LEAVE THAT SHOT OUT / GENERATE IT WITH AI / USE A CLIP THAT ALMOST FITS?

Shortlisted candidates will have a short interview, and final candidates will complete a SHORT PAID test project (we pay you for it). We read every application that follows the instructions. We're hiring as soon as we find the right people.
