JOB OVERVIEW

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to join our podcast and media production team full-time.

You will help turn interviews into professional video clips, support podcast publishing, and keep our production workflow organized.

You will initially work on:
• The Amazing Authorities Podcast
• Booked For TV
• Client interviews featuring CEOs, authors, speakers, consultants, and experts

You will work with Mitch Carson, an author, international speaker, TV host, and podcast coach, alongside our production team.

We can teach our tools and processes. What you must bring is excellent English, a constructive attitude, reliability, and a keen eye for detail.

WHY JOIN OUR TEAM?

• Full-time work with an established podcast and media team.
• Daytime working hours in the Philippines.
• Paid onboarding and training in our production workflow.
• Clear instructions, branding examples, templates, and checklists.
• Regular team communication and support.
• An increase from $3 to $4 per hour after successfully completing the first 30 days.
• Opportunities to develop new skills and take on greater responsibility.

This is not an advanced animation or cinematic-editing position. Our priority is accurate, polished content and dependable production support.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIES

Excellent spoken and written English
Clear communication is essential. Correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar matter in every message, caption, description, and other communication with our team and clients.

A positive, solution-focused attitude
We want someone who approaches challenges by asking what can be done and suggesting practical next steps. Questions, honest feedback, and early reporting of problems are welcome. We expect respectful communication without gossip, blame, or unnecessary conflict.

A keen eye for detail
You should notice caption mistakes, misspelled names, incorrect branding, awkward framing, missing information, and disorganized files. Check your work before submitting it.

Reliability and accountability
Be punctual, attend scheduled calls, meet deadlines, and communicate promptly. If you encounter a problem, tell us early.

Willingness to learn
Follow instructions, ask when something is unclear, accept feedback professionally, and apply what you learn to future assignments.

Good organization
Keep files easy to locate, follow naming conventions, maintain accurate task updates, and use production checklists.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE — HELPFUL, NOT REQUIRED

Experience with any of the following is a plus:
• CapCut and/or OpusClip.
• Canva video editing and basic branded graphics.
• Spotify for Creators, formerly Spotify for Podcasters or Anchor.
• Riverside.
• Podcast publishing and production support.
• Caption correction and short-form video editing.
• YouTube uploads and scheduling.
• Google Drive, Google Sheets, or similar organizational tools.

Other production skills can be taught. Applicants with excellent English, strong attention to detail, and the right attitude are encouraged to apply even if they have not used every tool.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Video editing and clip creation:
• Upload complete interviews into OpusClip.
• Review suggested clips and select compelling moments.
• Create approximately three vertical shorts per assigned interview.
• Polish clips in CapCut using our workflow.
• Correct caption spelling, punctuation, grammar, names, and technical terms.
• Frame speakers correctly for vertical video.
• Remove unnecessary pauses and improve weak openings without changing the speaker’s meaning.
• Apply approved logos, fonts, colors, and closing screens.
• Create basic 3–5-minute highlight videos when requested.
• Watch completed videos and check them before submission.

Podcast production support:
• Help set up and manage company- or client-owned Spotify for Creators accounts and shows.
• Upload and schedule approved episodes.
• Add approved titles, descriptions, artwork, guest details, and links.
• Learn our podcast hosting and distribution procedures.
• Check published episodes and links for accuracy.
• Assist with Riverside recordings and production files as trained.
• Flag missing information, incomplete uploads, or publishing problems.
• Follow our approval process before publishing content.

Organization and teamwork:
• Follow our file-naming and folder system.
• Organize recordings, project files, and final exports.
• Keep the production tracker updated.
• Maintain clear handoff notes and task status.
• Attend daily Zoom video calls with the team.
• Make requested corrections and apply feedback.
• Communicate professionally with team members and clients as assigned.

OUR EDITING STYLE

Our audience includes business owners, authors, executives, and professional experts. Videos should feel polished, credible, and engaging.

We prefer:
• A strong opening within the first three seconds.
• Clean, readable, accurate captions.
• Natural pacing and clear storytelling.
• Tasteful zooms and reframing.
• Selective emphasis of important words.
• Consistent branding.
• Appropriate closing screens and calls to action.

Avoid excessive emojis, distracting transitions, unnecessary sound effects, and frantic editing.

Every clip should make sense on its own and accurately represent what the guest said.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

You must have:
• Reliable internet service suitable for daily Zoom video calls and large video uploads and downloads.
• A newer-model laptop or desktop capable of running our editing tools and handling long podcast recordings reliably.
• A working webcam and a clear microphone or headset.
• A quiet work environment where you can concentrate and participate in daily team video calls without frequent interruptions.
• A practical backup plan for internet or power interruptions.

Please include your computer specifications and internet speeds in your application.

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

• Working days: Monday–Friday.
• Working hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Philippine time.
• Lunch break: One hour unpaid.
• Paid working hours: 40 hours per week.
• First 30 days: $3 USD per hour.
• After successful completion of the first 30 days: $4 USD per hour.
• Payments: According to an agreed schedule.
• Assigned onboarding, training, production work, and requested revisions are paid.

The increase to $4 per hour depends on:
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Clear, prompt communication.
• Meeting deadlines.
• Accurate captions and written work.
• Correct branding.
• Proper file organization.
• Following instructions.
• Demonstrating progress and applying feedback.

You must be available and responsive during scheduled working hours. Please disclose any existing commitments that could interfere with this schedule.

TRAINING AND PRODUCTION EXPECTATIONS

We will provide onboarding, examples, and checklists.

Training may include:
• CapCut and OpusClip workflows.
• Selecting strong interview moments.
• Caption correction and branding.
• Spotify setup and publishing procedures.
• Riverside recording and file handling.
• Production tracking and quality checks.
• Client communication and approval procedures.

After training, our initial planning target for approximately three standard vertical shorts is 60–90 minutes, depending on the recording and editing required.

Highlight videos, account setup, episode publishing, and more involved assignments will have separate time allowances. Expectations will be refined using actual production results.

Accuracy, sound judgment, and consistent improvement matter.

PROFESSIONAL NOTICE AND HANDOVER

We expect respectful communication and professional conduct.

If you d ---------- to resign, please provide at least two weeks’ written notice before your final working day, except where an emergency makes this impractical.

During your notice period, you are expected to:
• Complete agreed priorities.
• Update the production tracker.
• Organize and hand over source files, editable projects, and completed videos.
• Document outstanding tasks and deadlines.
• Assist with an orderly transition of assigned responsibilities.

Company and client accounts must remain under their respective owners’ control.

PAID SKILLS TEST

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a small paid test.

The test may include:
• Proofreading a short caption or episode description.
• Selecting a strong moment from an interview and explaining your choice.
• Creating one simple vertical clip, with instructions appropriate to your experience.
• Following a file-naming and organization checklist.

The test brief, expected work time, payment amount, and payment date will be agreed before you begin. You will have a 48-hour delivery window.

We will assess English accuracy, attention to detail, judgment, communication, and ability to follow instructions.
