Summary
Job Title: FOIA/Public Records Bodycam Researcher — Police Bodycam Footage

About the role:
I run a YouTube channel covering real bodycam cases. I'm looking for someone experienced with FOIA/Public Records Requests to source original bodycam footage directly from police departments not footage pulled from YouTube, Reddit, or other creators.

Payment
$15–$20 USD per successfully gathered bodycam footage/case.

Payment is for footage that is successfully obtained and delivered, not simply for submitting a request. There's potential for consistent, ongoing work for someone who can reliably find and obtain strong cases.

Ideal Candidate

You should:

- Have real experience with FOIA/Public Records Requests, preferably involving police records or bodycam footage
- Know how to research police incidents and identify the correct records department/agency
- Be comfortable communicating professionally with government agencies
- Be organized and able to track multiple requests at once (spreadsheet/tracker required)
- Be able to identify interesting, YouTube-worthy cases
- Be based in the U.S. or have strong knowledge of U.S. public-records laws and systems

- Include any relevant examples of previous research or FOIA work.

Important: We're specifically looking for someone who sources footage directly through FOIA/Public Records Requests not by downloading bodycam videos already posted on YouTube or other social platforms.
