About the Role

We are a growing UK eCommerce business operating both B2B wholesale and B2C retail WordPress/WooCommerce websites.

We are looking for an experienced WordPress/WooCommerce Developer & Website Manager to join our team long-term.

Your main day-to-day responsibility will be adding new products from brands/distributors to our websites and ensuring our websites look professional, work perfectly and are extremely easy for customers to use and place orders.
We need someone who can take ownership of the websites rather than simply wait for instructions.

Main Responsibilities
• Add new products from brand/distributor catalogues to our wholesale and retail websites.
• Create professional, attractive WooCommerce product listings.
• Add correct images, descriptions, specifications, categories, variations and pricing.
• Apply our wholesale and retail mark-ups.
• Handle bulk product/CSV imports when required.
• Keep products and website information organised and up to date.
• Ensure both websites are fully functional at all times.
• Continuously improve the look, design and professionalism of our websites.
• Make the buying/ordering process as simple and user-friendly as possible.
• Improve product pages, navigation, categories, search, checkout and bulk-order functionality.
• Develop new website features/functions when required.
• Redesign pages or sections where you believe improvements are needed.
• Troubleshoot and fix WordPress/WooCommerce problems.
• Make coding changes using PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Maintain plugins, themes, backups and website security.
• Ensure plugins are updated and identify any outdated/vulnerable plugins.
• Update SEO titles, descriptions and meta fields for new products.

Experience with SEO, Google Search Console, Cloudflare, DNS, hosting, website migrations and domain transfers is a big advantage.

Who We’re Looking For

We need someone who is:
• Highly experienced with WordPress & WooCommerce.
• Experienced managing eCommerce product catalogues.
• Confident with PHP, HTML, CSS & JavaScript.
• Able to make a website look professional and modern.
• Strong at improving UX and customer ordering journeys.
• Able to troubleshoot technical problems independently.
• Knowledgeable about WordPress security and plugin management.
• Very organised and accurate when creating product listings.
• Proactive – if you see something that could be improved, we want you to suggest and implement it.

• You only know basic WordPress/Elementor.
• You are mainly a general VA/product uploader.
• You cannot code or troubleshoot website problems.
• You need training in WordPress/WooCommerce.
• You have no experience managing a live eCommerce website.

Hours & Salary
Monday–Friday – preferably 10 AM–4 PM UK time
$650–$800 USD per month, depending on experience.

This is a long-term position. Annual pay increases are available based on good performance.

We want the successful person to become our in-house website specialist and grow with the business.
