JOB OVERVIEW

I am looking for an experienced WordPress Web Developer with a proven track record of building professional, high-performing real estate websites for my site ---------- .

The ideal candidate will have several years of hands-on experience with WordPress and understand what it takes to build a modern real estate website that is fast, mobile-friendly, SEO-optimized, secure, and designed to generate leads.

Our focus is on building a high-quality real estate website with a strong emphasis on luxury homes, local SEO, property listings, and lead generation.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Design and develop a professional WordPress real estate website
Build a clean, modern, responsive website that works exceptionally well on desktop, tablet, and mobile
Integrate MLS/IDX property listings and search functionality
Create individual property listing pages with optimized layouts
Develop neighborhood, city, and luxury real estate landing pages
Build an SEO-friendly website structure and navigation
Optimize website speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall performance
Implement proper heading structure, metadata, image optimization, internal linking, and schema markup
Ensure pages are properly structured for Google Search
Create reusable page templates for property listings and SEO landing pages
Integrate lead-generation forms, calls to action, and contact functionality
Configure Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other relevant tracking tools
Ensure the website is secure, scalable, and easy for our team to manage
Troubleshoot technical issues and make ongoing improvements
Required Experience

We are specifically looking for someone with substantial WordPress experience, preferably with several years of professional web development experience.

You should have strong experience with:

WordPress
PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
WordPress themes and plugins
Custom WordPress development
Real estate websites
MLS/IDX integrations
Technical SEO
Website speed optimization
Mobile-responsive design
Google Search Console
Google Analytics
Schema/structured data
Image optimization
Website security and backups

Experience with real estate platforms, IDX providers, CRM integrations, lead-generation systems, and local SEO is highly desirable.

SEO Experience Is Important

This is not simply a website design project.

We want a developer who understands that the website needs to be built with SEO from the beginning.

The site will target searches related to luxury real estate in Chesapeake, Virginia and throughout Virginia.

You should understand how website architecture, URLs, internal linking, page speed, structured data, headings, images, crawlability, and technical SEO affect organic search performance.

We are looking for someone who follows white-hat SEO practices and does not rely on keyword stuffing, artificial backlinks, or other questionable SEO techniques.
