Experienced U.S. Personal Injury Paralegal – Remote | Part-Time to Full-Time

**Virtual Personal Injury Paralegal – U.S. Law Firm**

Mid-America Law Practice, LLC is seeking an experienced **Virtual Personal Injury Paralegal** to support our U.S.-based law firm. This is a remote position beginning at approximately **20 hours per week**, with the potential to increase to **30–40 hours per week** for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone with prior experience supporting a **U.S. plaintiff-side personal injury law firm** who is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and interested in a long-term working relationship.

This is **not an entry-level virtual assistant position**. The ideal candidate should already understand the general life cycle of a personal injury case and be able to assist with both pre-litigation and litigation support with minimal day-to-day instruction.

### Responsibilities

* Manage and organize personal injury files from intake through settlement and litigation
* Request and follow up on medical records and billing statements
* Track client treatment and medical providers
* Prepare medical summaries, chronologies, and damages spreadsheets
* Communicate professionally with clients regarding treatment and case status
* Follow up with medical providers, insurance companies, and other third parties
* Obtain insurance information, claim information, and policy documentation
* Track liens, subrogation claims, and outstanding balances
* Organize medical records, bills, photographs, and other case evidence
* Assist with preparation of settlement demand packages
* Assist attorneys with discovery preparation and litigation file organization
* Help organize responses to interrogatories and requests for production
* Coordinate depositions, mediations, medical appointments, and other case-related scheduling
* Maintain task lists and follow up on outstanding items
* Keep case management records accurate and current
* Identify missing information and alert the supervising attorney to unresolved issues or approaching deadlines
* Assist with routine client follow-up and case status communications
* Make sure files remain organized and cases continue moving forward

### Required Qualifications

* At least **2–3 years of personal injury experience**
* Prior experience working for a **U.S. plaintiff-side personal injury law firm strongly preferred**
* Familiarity with U.S. personal injury terminology and workflow
* Experience handling medical records, medical bills, treatment tracking, and settlement demand packages
* Experience supporting personal injury cases after a lawsuit has been filed is highly preferred
* Strong written and spoken English
* Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
* Ability to communicate professionally with U.S. clients by telephone and email
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to work independently while following attorney direction
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
* Reliable computer, high-speed internet, and professional remote workspace
* Availability to work during agreed-upon **U.S. Central Time business hours**

Experience with **LEAP, Lawmatics, or similar U.S. legal case-management software** is a plus.

### Hours

This position will initially be **part-time, approximately 20 hours per week**.

There is an opportunity to increase hours based on the candidate’s experience, performance, reliability, and the needs of the firm’s personal injury practice.

A strong candidate who demonstrates the ability to independently manage assigned responsibilities, consistently follow up on outstanding matters, communicate professionally with clients, and keep files organized and moving forward may have the opportunity to increase to **30–40 hours per week**.

We are looking for someone interested in building a **long-term relationship with our firm**.

### Compensation

**$10–$15 USD per hour**, depending on prior U.S. plaintiff-side personal injury experience and demonstrated skills.
