We’re ClearPath Approvals, a U.S.-based credit and approval company located in New York, and we’re looking for someone who REALLY knows funding.
Please read that again because this is important:
We are NOT looking for a beginner VA who watched videos about business funding.
We are NOT looking for someone who only knows how to look at a credit report and tell us, “This client is funding ready.”
We need someone who has actually helped REAL clients get APPROVED.
We’re looking for someone with recent hands-on experience with U.S. personal and business funding — credit cards, 0% APR business cards, lines of credit, personal loans, business loans, credit unions, banks, etc.
You should understand the process from beginning to end:
Review client → Build funding strategy → Choose lender/product → Prepare application → Apply → Follow up → Handle pending/reconsideration → Get result
WHAT WE REALLY NEED
You should know how to look at a client’s complete situation and figure out the best funding strategy.
That means understanding things like:
• Credit profile
• Utilization
• Existing credit limits
• Recent inquiries
• Banking relationships
• Personal income
• Business revenue
• Business age
• Business structure
• Personal guarantees
• Documentation
• Lender requirements
• Application sequencing
We don’t want someone randomly applying everywhere.
We want someone who can explain WHY we should approach Bank A before Bank B, what product makes sense, what could hurt the approval, and when we should STOP and not submit another application.
RECENT APPROVALS MATTER
If you’ve been doing this recently, we want to hear about your results.
We will ask you about at least 3 recent funding approvals you personally worked on, preferably within the last 3–6 months.
You should be able to explain:
• What type of funding it was
• Approximate approval amount
• Bank/lender or type of institution
• Personal or business funding
• What YOU personally did
• Why that lender/product was chosen
• Whether it went pending or needed reconsideration
• Approximate date of approval
Redacted screenshots or other proof of recent approvals are a BIG PLUS.
Please remove all private client information before sending anything.
BANK CONTACTS / RELATIONSHIPS
This is also a BIG PLUS.
If you already have legitimate professional relationships with U.S. bankers, business bankers, relationship managers, branch managers, loan officers, credit union representatives or funding partners, tell us.
We’re very interested in someone who has actually built relationships in the funding industry — not someone who just has a list of bank phone numbers.
Do NOT send anyone’s private contact information in your first application. Just explain the types of relationships you have and how you’ve used them professionally.
APPLICATION EXPERIENCE
We need somebody who knows how to properly prepare and work a funding application.
You should understand what lenders are looking for and what information matters on an application.
Everything submitted for our clients must be truthful and supported by the client’s real information.
We DO NOT falsify income, revenue, employment, business information or documents to get approvals.
The goal is to use REAL information + GOOD strategy + lender knowledge + proper timing to give the client the strongest legitimate opportunity for approval.
PENDING APPLICATION? WE NEED YOU TO KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT.
If an application goes pending, we don’t want someone who just says, “Let’s wait.”
We want someone who understands how to investigate what’s happening, determine whether documents or verification are needed, communicate with the bank when authorized, handle legitimate reconsideration when available, follow up and track the final result.
ABOUT THE POSITION
This will start as a part-time position.
We operate in New York on EASTERN TIME.
You do not have to work every New York business hour, but you MUST have meaningful overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours because banks, clients and reconsideration departments operate during those hours.
You’ll also be working with our ClearPath Approvals platform and helping us improve our funding workflow.
As we grow this side of the company, there is an opportunity for the right person to grow into a larger Funding Manager / Funding Operations role.
HOW TO APPLY
I don’t want a long generic cover letter.
Start your message with:
FUNDING FIRST — EVIDENCE FIRST
Then answer these questions:
1. How many years have you personally worked with U.S. personal or business funding?
2. Tell me about your 3 most recent funding approvals. Give me the approximate date, lender/product, approval amount and exactly what YOU did.
3. What is the largest approval you personally helped a client obtain?
4. Which U.S. banks, credit unions, card issuers and lenders have you personally worked with during the last 12 months?
5. If I give you a funding-ready client tomorrow, how do you d
6. Tell me about a recent application that went pending or was denied. What did you do next? Did you handle reconsideration?
7. Do you currently have professional relationships with bankers, relationship managers, loan officers, credit union representatives or funding partners? Tell me about the TYPE of relationships you have. Do not send their private information.
8. What types of funding have you personally worked with? Business cards? 0% APR? Personal cards? Personal loans? Business loans? Lines of credit? Credit unions?
9. What information do you review BEFORE submitting or recommending an application?
10. How do you prevent unnecessary hard inquiries and avoid applying blindly?
11. What days and hours can you work in U.S. EASTERN TIME (New York time)?
12. Last question — and this one matters:
I give you a client with strong personal credit, low utilization, established revolving accounts, limited recent inquiries, an established business, business banking and documented revenue.
Don’t just tell me, “They’re funding ready.”
Walk me through what YOU would actually do next.
What else do you need to know?
How would you choose the first lender/product?
How would you determine the application order?
What would make you STOP and not submit an application?
What would you do if the application went pending?
How would you track the process until we had a final result?
BONUS:
If you have redacted proof of recent approvals you personally worked on, include it.
Please protect all client personal information.
We’re not looking for the person who writes the best cover letter.
We’re looking for someone who has actually done this, understands U.S. funding, knows how to think through an application, and can show us real results.
If that’s you, apply.
