Experienced Pet Video Editor & Content Researcher — YouTube Compilations + Shorts

Part-time | Remote | $350–400 USD/month, depending on relevant experience

I run Blinko Pets, an animal entertainment brand with approximately 700,000 combined followers across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

I’m looking for an experienced individual who can independently find entertaining pet clips and turn them into engaging compilations and short videos.

You should already have published work that demonstrates strong clip selection, comic timing and an understanding of what keeps people watching. Experience with animal content is strongly preferred; relevant experience with comedy, viral clips or entertainment compilations is also welcome.

Weekly deliverables:

* One horizontal YouTube compilation, approximately 4–8 minutes, depending on the available material.
* Seven vertical videos for YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Reels. Most will feature one strong moment; some can combine a few related clips.
* One thumbnail and a suggested title for the long video, plus short titles or captions for the vertical videos.

The same source material can be used across both formats, with each edit built for its intended viewing experience.

Your responsibilities:

* Research and select entertaining animal clips independently, prioritizing fresh material.
* Keep an organized record of source links and previously used clips.
* Identify the strongest moments and build a clear sequence around them.
* Create strong openings, remove unnecessary footage and preserve the setup, payoff and reaction.
* Use music, sound effects and on-screen text where they improve the video. Preserve original animal sounds and reactions when they are part of the joke.
* Deliver finished 1080p videos and organized editable project files.
* Review performance data I share and use it to improve future selections and edits.

I will provide initial direction, references and feedback. You will own research and editing; I will handle publishing.

Requirements:

* Relevant experience producing published social media videos.
* A portfolio showing both short-form editing and compilations or similar entertainment videos.
* Strong judgment about humor, pacing, hooks and audience retention.
* Proficiency in CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or an equivalent editor.
* Good written English for titles, captions and communication.
* Reliable delivery and the ability to work independently.

The schedule is flexible, with agreed delivery deadlines. Estimated workload is 10–15 hours per week; please confirm whether that is realistic for your workflow. We will assess the scope during the paid trial before agreeing to ongoing work.

3. Performance results where available: views, publication date and whether distribution was organic or supported by paid promotion. Analytics screenshots are welcome if you have permission to share them.
4. A brief explanation of how you would find suitable clips and d ---------- which ones deserve a standalone Short.
5. Your editing software, availability and expected monthly rate within the stated range.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a $30 paid test: source five suitable clips, create one Short and a 60–90-second compilation sample using the same material. The exact brief and deadline will be agreed in advance.
