Position Overview
HomeLogic Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and dependable HR Associate (Onboarding & Compliance) to support the onboarding of nurses and caregivers while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our hiring processes and ensuring that all clinical staff meet required standards before working in client homes
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment where accuracy and accountability are non-negotiable.
-ey Responsibilities
1. New Hire Onboarding
* Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for all nurses and caregivers
* Ensure all onboarding documentation is completed accurately and on time
* Facilitate onboarding communication and provide a positive new hire experience
* Coordinate start dates in collaboration with the scheduling team
-. Compliance & Credentialing
Verify and track all required documentation prior to hire, including:
* Background checks (**must be completed before first shift**)
* Nursing licenses (active and verified through state systems)
* Certifications (CPR/BLS and other required credentials)
* Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready employee records
* Ensure compliance with Georgia Medicaid (GAPP) and home healthcare regulations
* Immediately flag and escalate missing, expired, or incomplete documentation
3. Background Check Management
* Initiate and monitor background checks for all new hires
* Ensure zero tolerance for missed or incomplete checks prior to placement
* Proactively follow up with vendors and candidates to avoid delays
4. Client Support (CPR Certification Assistance)
* Assist clients and caregivers with obtaining CPR certification when required
* Provide guidance on approved training providers
* Track completion and maintain proper documentation
5. Documentation & Systems Management
* Upload and maintain all onboarding documents within company systems (EMR/HR platforms)
* Ensure documentation is consistently accurate, complete, and audit-ready
* Support preparation for audits, reviews, and surveys
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
* Collaborate closely with:
* Intake Team
* Scheduling Team
* Nursing Supervisors
* Provide daily updates on onboarding and compliance status
* Ensure staff are fully cleared **before being scheduled in homes
7. Process Improvement
* Identify gaps in onboarding and compliance workflows
* Recommend and implement improvements to prevent errors
* Maintain and update onboarding checklists and SOPs
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
100% compliance:** No caregiver or nurse starts without a completed background check
Onboarding turnaround time:** ? 3–5 days from offer to clearance
License verification accuracy:** 100%
CPR certification completion rate:** 100% (when required)
Audit readiness:All files complete at all times
Response time: ? 24 hours
Qualifications
* 1–3 years of experience in HR, onboarding, or healthcare administration
* **Previous experience in a home health environment strongly preferred
* Strong understanding of compliance, credentialing, and documentation processes
* Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Proficiency with technology, document management systems, and background check platforms
