SUMMARY
We run a Q4 e-commerce operation selling Christmas gift products for kids. Products are researched, listed and copywritten before you touch them. You own the silent video loops that sell the product on its page, and the video ad batches that get people on FB & IG to that page.
You are NOT writing the offer and you are NOT picking the products. The owner does both, and approved page copy already exists. You own footage sourcing, pacing, hooks, edit quality and whether someone stops scrolling in the first second.
Two separate deliverables per product, in this order:
1. Product page video loops — short silent loops, 5 to 10 seconds, each one built around a specific headline from the approved page copy.
2. One video batch of lightly edited social rips (3 to 6 ads)
3. One video batch of scripted ads (3 to 6 ads) built to a defined angle.
These are three different jobs, not one video resized.
Loops loop silently next to copy.
Social rips borrow proven organic content.
Scripted ads carry intent and allow us to get more feedback.
? WHY THIS Q4 MATTERS
We donate a percentage of our Q4 revenue to a charity that buys Christmas gifts for kids whose parents cannot afford them. Nothing sells without creative, so the ads you cut are directly upstream of that donation. The better they perform, the more gifts it becomes.
? WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Proven short-form e-commerce editing experience: send proof of work — ads that actually ran on Meta, not showreels, weddings or corporate work
- You can find your own footage. Competitor organic posts, supplier videos, creator content, stock — you know where to look and how to grab it cleanly at the best quality available
- Hook instinct: you know the first second d
- Clean technical output: correct aspect ratios and dimensions, no letterboxing, no watermarks, no platform UI left in frame, no compression mush, metadata stripped on export
- Comfortable with captions, sound design, music selection and licensing-safe audio
- You can work from approved copy and visualise a written headline, rephrasing claims we already validated
- Organised file discipline: our folder and batch naming convention is strict, and it is how four people find each other's work
- Speed matters this q4.
Bonus: UGC-style editing, AI video or voiceover tools, motion graphics,
? WHAT YOU DELIVER, PER PRODUCT
- A set of silent product page loops built from the approved page copy
- A batch of lightly edited social rips (3 to 6 ads)
- A batch of scripted ads built to a defined angle (3 to 6 ads)
- The footage behind all of it, sourced by you — we film nothing and hand over no raw files
- Every clip you find or use, saved in that product's dedicated Google Drive folder, not only the ones that made the final cut
- Revisions actioned after reviews
- The approved loops live on Shopify
How you get there is documented. You receive the product, the approved copy, the specs and the full process in writing — you do not have to invent the workflow, you have to hit the deliverables.
? TOOLS
Your own editing software (Premiere, After Effects, CapCut, DaVinci — your choice), Google Drive (desktop sync),
? WHAT YOU GET FROM US
A full written SOP with screenshots covering every phase: where the copy and competitor links live, where to find footage, how batches are structured, loop and ad specs, and the review loop. Explicit expectations from day one. Direct, specific feedback — if an ad is wrong we point at the timestamp, and we expect the same directness back.
We want a builder, not a filler. A filler cuts what he is told and stops. A builder notices which hook style keeps winning, says so, and the next batch is better because of them. That person gets kept.
? PAY
Hourly, tracked. Rate discussed on application.
⏱ TIMELINE
Needed ASAP, starting this week. Q4 project, roughly 1–3 months, winding down mid-December.
? WHAT'S NEXT
We run this same operation again in 2027, and the editor who already knows our workflow and systems gets first refusal. We would far rather keep someone than retrain a stranger.
? HOW TO APPLY
1. Start with the word ADS so we know you read this.
2. Send a 60–90 second Loom: who you are, what you do, and why you do it. No script. Just be yourself; that's more than enough.
3. Your best ad, with proof. Send us three things:
- the single best performing ad you have ever edited (Social link w/ engagement OR file)
- proof that you made it: a screenshot of that project open in your editing software, or of its project folder in Finder or File Explorer, and the brief you were given before you cut it
- three or four lines on your approach: how you built it and why you think it was a winning ad
⚠️ Only apply if you can show short-form ads that actually ran for an e-commerce product. Applications without the Loom and without the proof screenshot are not reviewed.
