Our US-based ecommerce company is looking for a very experienced and excellent Buyer (there are positions for apparel, home décor and collectables) who is hard-working, organized, analytical, with several years of experience in ecommerce.
It is a FULL-time position (40h/week). This is NOT an entry-level role.
The Buyer sources new product vendors and grows the assortment offering on our brands’ sites;
oversees and maintains inventory as well as researches, analyzes, and forecasts current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products with attention to specified target market and demographics. This role supports the curation of our product assortments, develops and maintains relationships with wholesalers and suppliers while leading negotiation of contracts with wholesalers and suppliers.

Skills & Qualifications:
• Strong English proficiency, both written and spoken.
• 3+ years’ experience in inventory management, preferably in apparel, home decor, or collectables
• Experience in retail and ecommerce
Experience in Platforms:
• Proficient in Shopify, Google Analytics, and Excel.
Work Schedule:
• Full-time position (40h/week)
• US work hours (CST)
Key Responsibilities:
• Working in procurement systems to manage purchasing, track shipments, ensure pricing
• Has experience building listings in Shopify
• Analyzes sales performance and recommend future orders
• Qualifies and negotiates with vendors to find the best sales price and may include bid prices and negotiation techniques, plus review of written documents
• Acquires information concerning an item’s condition, type, rarity or value
• Prepares data for financial records: invoices, purchase orders and other related documents
• Performs financial analysis to determine savings, calculates quantity discounts and negotiates the best sales price when purchasing large quantities of goods
• Arranges payments through bank drafts or money orders to purchase items
• Maintains inventory that includes verifying inventory levels, choosing new items, returning expired items or obsolete merchandise
• Tracks purchases, monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current database of vendor information
• Negotiates contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality specifications
• Develops and implement purchasing strategies aligned with the company’s business goals and operational needs
• Maintains commercial contracts with clients, suppliers, and other business partners
• Researches and evaluates suppliers, considering factors such as quality, pricing, and market trends
• Analyzes market trends, ensuring the organization gets the best value for its purchases
• Implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods and services
• Oversees financial analyses related to the department’s budget
• Manages procurement activities, including purchasing supplies and communicating company specifications to suppliers
• Ensures the company complies with legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements
• Evaluates departmental policies and procedures to ensure alignment with industry standards and changes in law or technology
• Participates in cross-functional projects aimed at improving efficiency, profitability, quality, and customer service
• Collaborates with other senior tea
• Recommends improvements, new products, quality enhancements, or operational efficiencies
• Handles multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on urgency
• Stays on top of trends in terms of supplement innovation and industry demand
