JOB OVERVIEW

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Virtual Bookkeeper skilled in BOTH QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Desktop (QBD). You will be responsible for keeping our financial records clean, balanced, and fully reconciled across both platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and reconcile accounts across QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
• Perform daily/weekly transaction categorization, bank feeds management, and balance checks.
• Complete monthly bank, credit card, and merchant account reconciliations.
• Oversee Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) tracking and follow-ups.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial summaries (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Organize digital receipts, bills, and maintain clean audit trails.
• Process recurring payroll accurately and on time (employee pay, hours verification).

REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience specifically using both QuickBooks Online AND QuickBooks Desktop for Canadian businesses.
• Strong familiarity with QB Desktop navigation, hosting environments/remote desktop access, and file management.
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, clean data formatting).
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
• High attention to detail with zero tolerance for numerical errors.
• Reliable equipment: Fast internet connection, power/internet backup, and a secure working environment.


SCHEDULE & WORKING HOURS:
• Full-Time Position (40 hours/week).
• Some overlap with standard business hours for team communication and weekly check-ins.
