We are a fast-growing U.S.-based tax and accounting firm serving entrepreneurs and business owners across the country. We are looking for a high-level, experienced bookkeeper who can take ownership of client accounts, communicate professionally, and keep financials clean, accurate, and on time.
This is NOT an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who already understands bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll at a strong level and can think independently.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Managing monthly bookkeeping for multiple clients (QuickBooks Online)
Categorizing transactions accurately and consistently
Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
Cleaning up messy books and catching errors
Preparing and reviewing Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets
Processing and managing payroll (including basic payroll compliance)
Communicating directly with clients via
Requesting missing documents and following up with clients
Ensuring all books are up-to-date monthly (no delays)
What We’re Looking For:
Strong experience with QuickBooks Online
Proven experience with bookkeeping + payroll
Solid understanding of accounting principles
Excellent English (written and spoken) — you will be client-facing
Strong attention to detail (you catch mistakes others miss)
High level of common sense and problem-solving ability
Organized and able to manage multiple clients at once
Proactive communicator (you don’t wait to be told what to do)
Reliable, consistent, and professional
Nice to Have (Bonus):
Experience working with U.S.-based clients
Experience with cleanup projects
Familiarity with tax preparation support
Experience using tools like Slack, Google Drive, or project management systems

Books are clean, accurate, and delivered on time every month
Clients feel taken care of and communicated with
Issues are identified and solved before they become problems
You take ownership — not just follow instructions
