ABOUT OOBLEC
Ooblec is a small product development consulting team that has helped our clients design and develop over 160 beautiful and easy-to-use products and brands over the past 8 years. I have also co-founded my own product ventures. The first has done over $1.5M in eCommerce Revenue & sold into a national US retailer in 2024. With the rise of eCommerce and 'DTC' (direct to customer) brands, there is more opportunity than ever before for unique, innovative products and brands.
Most of our clients are self-funded entrepreneurs who find us through paid online advertising. We help them formulate a strategy for their product, and create their product and brand from scratch so they can launch profitably and grow their dream. In additional to consulting for others, Ooblec is also working on its own product-based brand ventures that are growing quickly on Amazon and other eCommerce platforms.
THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are an intentionally small team and can only work with a select number of clients at a time. Until now, I have personally done all sales, marketing, project management, creative direction, operations, and administrative tasks while our design team focuses on project delivery tasks for our clients.
I need help managing, maintaining, and organizing client sales funnel conversations and contact information, as well as managing active client projects, communication, task delegation and oversight. You will be a crucial part of our team being an extension of my own experience, expertise, and communication skills.??I anticipate this position growing into a full time opportunity fairly quickly as you master initial tasks and responsibilities, and if there is mutual interest for a stronger partnership with each other. :)
REQUIREMENTS

- Strong 'soft' / people skills including the ability to adapt in real time to speaking style/speed/energy level, and to have meaningful relevant and emotionally authentic conversations and not just be 'another spammy sales person'?- Well-organized, able to efficiently and effectively record key data in real time for reference to track performance and build/manage our
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt in real time to what the other person is saying and respond to that in a meaningful way
- Ability to discern and pick up on verbal, body language, subliminal, subtle, tonal, and unspoken cues and clues about what a client is saying, feeling, thinking, wanting, etc.
- Ability to potential client fit based on how they talk about product design and development, budget, strategy, challenges, goals, etc.
- Understanding of, and/or interest in, social and cultural norms in the US, product development, marketing psychology, manufacturing?- Resources and availability to use video chat if feasible (good internet connection, good 'video call' room setup, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
- Build rapport with strangers during both short & long-form sales & client support conversations
- Discover & Discern client motivations, needs, fears, desires, thoughts, feelings, in real time during live phone and video chat conversations
- Use existing scripts, outlines, resources, and information to provide insight, information, and guidance to potential clients
- Use concise communication, clear word choice, and direct questions to maintain trust and avoid uncertainty?- Regular daily check ins (more often if necessary) with me to sync up on client status, & so I can provide guidance, help, & mentorship to train you and ensure your success and contentment. :)?- Manage & Organize Client databases in online software ecosystems such as Hubspot, WooSender, Google Docs, etc.?- Send project management

BONUS SKILLS / OPPORTUNITIES
- Familiarity or any past experience in project management?- Familiarity with product development and design in general, industrial/product design, and/or brand design?- Interest in and/or past experience with spreadsheets, basic DIY coding/logic flows, etc.
