ABOUT SIGNIFICANT AFFAIR
Significant Affair is a wedding and event planning, design, coordination, and event services company serving Central Florida and beyond.

We specialize in weddings, quinceañeras, Sweet 16s, birthdays, corporate events, fairs & festivals, multicultural celebrations, and more.

Our services include event planning and coordination, event design, décor, florals, rentals, custom installations, 360° photo booths, uplighting, dancing on the clouds, projections, catering, bar services, and entertainment.

We are looking for a proactive, organized, motivated, and sales-minded VA who can help generate clients, build venue and business relationships, manage leads, and support daily operations.

This is more than an administrative role. We want someone who actively looks for opportunities, builds connections, follows up, and helps turn opportunities into booked events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Client Acquisition & Lead Management
- Find potential wedding and event clients actively seeking our services.
- Post services on appropriate platforms and monitor Facebook groups, wedding communities, portals, and other lead sources.
- Respond to approved inquiries and follow up with leads and past prospects.
- Schedule discovery calls and consultations for Jasmin.
- Maintain the CRM, client portal, and lead tracker.
- Track leads from inquiry through consultation, proposal, booking, or lost lead.
- Send approved packets, questionnaires, and follow-ups.
- Ensure qualified leads are properly tracked and followed up.

2. Venue Relationships
- Research wedding and event venues throughout Central Florida.
- Identify venue managers and appropriate contacts.
- Introduce Significant Affair and schedule meetings for Jasmin.
- Research preferred/approved vendor programs and requirements.
- Identify opportunities to become a preferred vendor.
- Maintain the venue database and track partnership opportunities.

3. Business Development
- Research corporate event opportunities, bridal shows, expos, networking events, and industry opportunities.
- Identify referral and partnership opportunities.
- Research hotels, venues, photographers, caterers, DJs, florists, bridal boutiques, and other event professionals.
- Help develop a preferred vendor and referral network.
- Research new platforms and opportunities for promoting Significant Affair.

4. Client & Event Support
- Send questionnaires, forms, contracts, and approved reminders.
- Organize client folders and documentation.
- Track deposits, payments, deadlines, and unpaid invoices.
- Assist with timelines, vendor contact sheets, setup/teardown checklists, and event-day documents.
- Confirm final details with vendors before events.
- Track RSVPs when applicable.
- Send final documents to vendors and venues 2 weeks before each event.

5. Marketing & Social Media
- Schedule approved social media content.
- Organize and repurpose event photos/videos.
- Create simple Canva graphics using company branding.
- Post approved services and rental inventory.
- Assist with promoting packages and services.
- Research marketing opportunities.
- Request client testimonials and reviews using approved messaging.

6. Support for Jasmin
- Manage consultations, meetings, appointments, and calendar organization.
- Prepare research and information for meetings.
- Follow up after meetings.
- Keep CRM, lead, and business-development records updated.
- Provide a weekly report covering leads, follow-ups, consultations, venue contacts, and business opportunities.

COMPENSATION
Hourly Pay
$6 USD/hour — 20 hours per week (4 days × 5 hours)

Commission
Earn 2% commission on eligible Significant Affair service revenue from new clients you directly generate.

Examples:
$3,000 booking → $60
$5,000 booking → $100
$8,000 booking → $160
$10,000 booking → $200

VA-Generated Lead Requirements
A lead qualifies when the VA:

- Personally identifies the opportunity.
- Initiates / facilitates the initial connection.
- Documents the lead in the lead tracker.
- Helps move the lead to a consultation.
- The client signs a contract and pays Significant Affair.

Commission is paid only after the event is successfully completed and there is no cancellation, refund, or qualifying adjustment.
Commission applies only to eligible Significant Affair service revenue and does not include third-party/vendor costs or rental revenue.

Preferred Vendor Exception
Bookings resulting from Significant Affair being listed, recommended, approved, or designated as a preferred vendor by a venue or organization are not commissionable, even if the VA helped establish the relationship.

- Excellent written and spoken English
- Comfortable communicating with U.S. clients and businesses
- Strong online research and professional outreach skills
- Sales-minded without being pushy
- Able to work independently
- Creative, resourceful, and eager to learn

Experience is a plus in:
Virtual assistance, sales, lead generation, business development, customer service, event/wedding planning, hospitality, appointment setting, social media, Canva, or CRM systems.

INITIATIVE IS ESSENTIAL
We don't want someone who waits for instructions for every task.

We want someone who can say:

"I found an opportunity. Here's what I found, here's what I recommend, and here's what I think we should do next."
"I have an Idea to move the business to the next level"

You'll receive training, direction, and the tools you need, but we expect you to eventually work independently and actively contribute to the growth of Significant Affair.
