About Us
Make Fencing is an Australian-based fencing company delivering high-quality residential and commercial fencing projects. We specialise in custom fencing, gates, automation, and large-scale commercial installations across Victoria.
We are a growing, systems-driven business looking for a highly capable Construction Estimator and Business Systems Specialist to support our quoting, systems development, and marketing processes.
This is a long-term role with opportunities to grow alongside the business.

Role Overview
This role combines construction estimating, spreadsheet development, AI integration, and occasional design work.
You will work directly with our leadership team to help streamline quoting processes, build powerful spreadsheets and tools, and support the preparation of quotes and marketing materials.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys solving problems, building systems, and improving business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities/ Experience
- Construction Estimating / Reading plans
- Drafting
- AI
- Excel
- Xero

Excell -
- Build and maintain advanced Excel spreadsheets and calculators
- Develop estimating tools, cost trackers, and project planning systems
- Improve and automate internal business processes using Excel and AI tools
- Create dashboards and reporting tools to assist management decisions

AI & Automation
- Assist in integrating AI tools into business processes
- Help automate workflows such as quoting, document generation, and reporting
- Explore ways AI can improve efficiency in estimating and admin tasks

Drafting
- Assist with basic drafting where required
- Modify plans or produce simple drawings using CAD or Revit
- Prepare visual concepts for fencing layouts where required

Graphic Design Support
Assist in creating:
- Brochures
- Proposal documents
- Marketing material
- Maintain consistency with company branding

Required Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in construction estimating or quantity take-offs
- Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, automation, dashboards)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and spoken English
- Ability to understand construction drawings and plans
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks

Highly Desirable
- Experience with Australian construction projects
- Experience in fencing construction estimating
- Experience using AI tools in business
- Experience with CAD or Revit
- Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe, etc.)
