JOB OVERVIEW

I am looking for someone with mechanical engineering and equipment design experience, particularly in heavy industry, and more specifically in the steel industry.
-Candidate must be strong in english and able to work in Imperial Dimensions (inches) as well as use material sizes available in the United States, particularly plate, pipe and beam sizes. Reference materials and coaching can be provided.
-Engineering will preferably be done on 3D software, Solid Edge or Solid Works. Strong software skills required.
-Candidate will be required to create 2D fabrication drawings and bills of materials from the completed model.

Experience in the heavy industry is good. Experience in steel mill equipment is better. Experience in melt shop equipment and the Electric Arc Furnace in particular is best.

Open to gig or part-time applicants, but the goal is to grow together into a full time position.
The 12 hour time difference between Philipines and the US is not a problem.
