Transportation Safety Engineer - Street Simplified
Full-time, Remote

At Street Simplified, we use video analytics to help public sector agencies understand why crashes happen and give them the tools to proactively prevent them. We are looking to hire a Transportation Safety Engineer who is passionate about road safety and saving lives.

Working hours: Hybrid

Responsibilities and Duties:
Building detailed reports outlining risks and potential mitigations at high-crash locations
Research into new countermeasures, standards, and agency requirements
Review of Street Safety Analytics data, quality control, and analytics interpretation
Researching safety-related topics and writing articles or publications
Applying programming techniques to improve safety decision-making
Using transportation engineering concept formulation & preliminary design

Experience:
Bachelors of civil, or traffic engineering, or a related field (compensation will vary based on expertise, experience, and education)
Preferred experience in transportation engineering & design
Preferred experience in transportation safety
Preferred experience with programming, statistical analysis, and research

Qualifications:
Graduate degree in transportation, civil, traffic engineering, or related engineering or science field.
