Role Overview
We are looking for a creative and results-driven Email & SMS Marketing Specialist to join our team. This person will own our email campaigns, SMS campaigns, and member-exclusive content, making sure every customer touchpoint feels personal, engaging, and effective.
You will work directly with the owner (via WhatsApp) to brainstorm ideas, plan campaigns, and keep our community excited and engaged. This is a highly collaborative role where you will not only execute campaigns but also help shape the voice and community of Sunset Surf.
Responsibilities

Email Campaigns:
Create, design, and write frequent email campaigns (including daily when needed) to keep our community engaged.
Develop a custom email content feed for Sunset Surf Club members with exclusive updates, sneak peeks, and perks.
Keep campaigns consistent with brand voice while ensuring variety and excitement.
SMS Campaigns:
Build short, impactful SMS campaigns for launches, drops, and promotions.
Use smart segmentation and timing to maximize impact.
Collaboration with Owner:
Communicate regularly through WhatsApp to discuss campaign ideas and upcoming product launches.
Contribute ideas while being able to take ownership of execution.
Community & Membership Focus:
Create messaging that strengthens our community and makes members feel valued.
Ensure Sunset Surf Club members receive premium, exclusive communication.
Analytics & Optimization:
Track campaign results and share insights.
Use testing and data to consistently improve engagement and conversion rates.
Qualifications
Experience with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar).
Experience with SMS marketing tools (Postscript, Attentive, or similar).
Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write in a casual, engaging, and brand-aligned voice.
Creative design skills (Canva, Figma, or similar) are a plus.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent campaign needs.
Passion for building community and creating marketing that feels authentic.
