JOB OVERVIEW

The Role - For an Australian Video Production Company

We’re looking for a senior SEO specialist to handle research, optimisation, and publishing of pre-written SEO content in WordPress.

This is not a writing role.

All content is supplied. Your job is to ensure every page is search-intent aligned, structurally sound, and published cleanly using Yoast SEO.

?

Key Output (Non-Negotiable)
• 2 SEO-optimised blogs or pages published per day
• Consistent daily delivery
• Pages must be Yoast-optimised without over-optimisation

If you rely on blindly chasing green lights, this role is not a fit.

?

What You’ll Be Doing
• SERP and competitor research before publishing
• Keyword & intent matching for existing content
• Structuring pages correctly:
• H1–H4 hierarchy
• Internal linking
• Clean URLs
• Writing and refining:
• Meta titles
• Meta descriptions
• Using Yoast SEO correctly:
• Understanding when to ignore suggestions
• Managing focus keyphrases and synonyms
• Controlling readability vs ranking trade-offs
• Publishing content in WordPress quickly and accurately
• Ensuring pages are human-first, not SEO fluff

?

What You Won’t Be Doing
• Writing content from scratch
• Topic ideation or editorial planning
• Page design or development
• Client communication

This is a pure execution role.

?

Required Experience

You must have strong, real-world experience with:
• On-page SEO at scale
• Search intent analysis
• Yoast SEO (advanced use, not beginner)
• WordPress publishing workflows
• High-volume SEO content deployment

You should confidently know:
• When to follow Yoast
• When to override it
• How to optimise without harming readability

?

Ideal Candidate
• Senior SEO specialist (not a generalist)
• Comfortable working independently
• Fast, methodical, and detail-driven
• Experienced in scaling SEO pages
• Understands Google’s behaviour beyond checklists

?

Time & Commitment
• 10 hours per week
• Ongoing engagement
• Flexible hours, but daily output required

?

How to Apply

Please include:
1. A short summary of your SEO experience
2. Examples of pages you’ve published or ranked using Yoast
3. Confirmation that you can:
• Publish 2 pages per day
• Work from supplied content
• Use Yoast without relying on green lights
