JOB OVERVIEW

1. Electrical Estimating (ConEst)

Use ConEst to prepare detailed electrical takeoffs

Input plans, specifications, and blueprints into the estimating system

Build assemblies, apply labor units, material pricing, and cost factors

Adjust labor based on NEC, job conditions, and installation difficulty

Generate complete bills of materials and labor breakdowns

Prepare proposals and pricing sheets for final approval

2. Project Scope & Review

Review drawings, RFIs, addendums, and engineering revisions

Identify value-engineering opportunities

Determine service size, conduit/raceway requirements, panel schedules, etc.

Assist with design-build conceptual estimates when needed

3. Communication & Documentation

Work with the owner to finalize pricing and proposal structure

Organize estimate files and update ConEst databases as needed

Maintain clean documentation of assumptions and clarifications

Requirements

Must have hands-on experience with ConEst IntelliBid or ConEst Electrical Estimating Software

Strong understanding of electrical systems (residential + commercial)

Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications

Knowledge of NEC codes and general installation standards

Strong math skills and attention to detail

Reliable internet connection

Ability to meet deadlines and produce accurate estimates

Bonus Skills (Not Required but Preferred):

Experience with residential service estimating

Knowledge of US electrical materials (Southwire, Eaton, Square D, etc.)

Experience with PlanSwift or Bluebeam Revu

Work Hours

Flexible, but must be available for review meetings during U.S. Eastern Time

Project-based, part-time, or full-time depending on skill and performance

Compensation

Competitive — based on experience and speed with ConEst

Paid per project or monthly salary (your choice)
