JOB OVERVIEW

Role Summary
Reporting to CTE’s Engineering Manager, this role supports the delivery of electrical, instrumentation, high-voltage and hazardous-area projects by coordinating engineering design and producing accurate, compliant and client-ready technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Complete electrical design calculations, including load assessments, cable sizing, voltage drop, protection coordination and earthing.
Prepare single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, cable schedules, equipment schedules, datasheets and technical specifications.
Produce designs aligned with client requirements and relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, AS 2067 and AS/NZS 60079.
Manage design deliverables, document registers, revisions and technical records through the full project lifecycle.
Respond to technical queries and incorporate design-review, construction and commissioning feedback.
Prepare as-built drawings, operating manuals, test records and final project handover documentation.
