JOB OVERVIEW

Editorial Outreach & Digital PR Specialist (Part-Time, Long-Term)

We're looking for an experienced Editorial Outreach & Digital PR Specialist who knows how to secure genuine editorial mentions, interviews, citations, and coverage on relevant industry websites, blogs, and online publications.

This is a small, ongoing opportunity supporting up to four client and agency websites, with the potential to grow based on results.

Responsibilities
Research and identify relevant journalists, editors, bloggers, publications, and industry websites.
Develop personalized editorial pitches based on client stories, case studies, and industry insights.
Contact editors and publishers to generate legitimate editorial coverage and mentions.
Follow up professionally with journalists and editorial contacts.

Identify opportunities for expert commentary, interviews, and inclusion in relevant articles.
Maintain an organized outreach tracker with contacts, pitches, responses, and results.
Provide weekly progress reports and recommend new outreach opportunities.

Required Experience
Proven experience in digital PR, editorial outreach, journalist outreach, or earned media.
Demonstrated success securing actual editorial placements or mentions.
Strong English writing and communication skills.

Experience researching relevant publications and identifying editorial contacts.
Ability to write compelling, personalized pitches that editors want to respond to.
Comfortable working independently without extensive training or supervision.
Understanding of SEO and the value of authoritative editorial mentions.

Important
We are NOT looking for traditional link-building services, paid backlink placements, guest-post sellers, PBNs, link farms, or mass-email outreach.

Our goal is to earn genuine editorial exposure through relevant stories, expert insights, and relationship-based outreach.

We understand that editorial coverage cannot be guaranteed. We're looking for someone who understands the process and has demonstrated results.

Workload & Compensation
This is a part-time opportunity with a modest initial workload. We'll provide the websites, priority topics, case studies, and supporting information.

We prefer to begin with a small paid trial to evaluate outreach quality, communication, and results before establishing an ongoing monthly arrangement.

Please include your proposed monthly rate and the amount of outreach work you could realistically provide.

How to Apply: Please answer the following questions:

1. How many years of experience do you have specifically with editorial outreach or digital PR?

2. Can you provide 2–3 examples of genuine editorial mentions or placements you personally helped secure? Please include links and explain your involvement.

3. How do you find journalists, editors, and publications that are relevant to a particular business?

4. Briefly explain how you would pitch a case study about a local service business that improved its visibility in AI search results and became booked out months in advance.

Please start your application with the words "Editorial Outreach Specialist" so we know you've read the full description.

We're looking for someone experienced, reliable, and interested in building a long-term working relationship.
