JOB OVERVIEW

I am the author of a business leadership book ("Dialogue of Work")
currently in production. I need a creative illustrator to produce
15 original editorial illustrations that bring key storytelling
---------- nts to life.

IMPORTANT: Unlike our infographic work, these visuals are created
from scratch based on scene descriptions. They require creative
interpretation, warmth, and human storytelling — not just technical
execution.

THE WORK:
- 15 editorial illustrations for narrative ---------- nts in the book
- Examples of scenes: a leader and worker walking through a park
in Berlin, a circle of 15 people in a garden in Malaga, Spain,
a nursing home resident caring for a small potted plant, a
young professional in a Korean restaurant, an analytics expert
in deep concentration
- Each illustration comes with a written scene description and
the relevant book excerpt for context

STYLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Warm, professional, human — think editorial illustration for
Harvard Business Review or a Malcolm Gladwell book
- Abstract or semi-abstract figures (no hyper-realistic portraits)
- Color palette: 6 specific colors provided in style guide
- Must feel cohesive — all 15 illustrations from the same visual world
- Must work in grayscale for print fallback
- Book format: 6"×9", visuals up to 4.5" wide

DELIVERABLES:
- High-resolution PNG or SVG files (300 DPI minimum)
- Each illustration sized for print
- Consistent style across all 15 pieces

PROCESS:
- Week 1: Paid test task — one illustration from a provided
scene description
- If test passes: proceed with full project in batches of 3-4
- Feedback given within 24 hours per batch
- Maximum 2 revision rounds per illustration

SKILLS NEEDED:
- Strong editorial or conceptual illustration portfolio
- Experience illustrating human scenes and emotions
- Ability to work within a defined color palette and style guide
- Good English (for reading scene descriptions and book excerpts)
- Experience with print-ready file preparation preferred

TIMELINE: Approximately 8-10 weeks, flexible.

Please include 3-5 portfolio samples showing editorial or
character-based illustration work when you apply. Applications
without portfolio samples will not be considered.
