JOB OVERVIEW

We are a growing US-based ecommerce company looking for a reliable, full-time Product Research and Creative Sourcing Virtual Assistant.

This role supports our internal product-research and launch workflow. You will be trained on our process, SOPs, tools, and documentation standards. However, we are looking for someone who can work independently, think critically, identify bottlenecks, and suggest practical ways to make the workflow faster and more efficient.

Your role will involve researching potential ecommerce products, reviewing market data and creative examples, checking supplier and profitability information, preparing simple offers, organizing video references for our creative team, setting up products in Shopify, and documenting findings in Google Sheets.

What You’ll Do

- Research potential ecommerce products using internal research tools and market-analysis platforms
- Identify products that meet our requirements based on demand, competition, pricing, available creative angles, and overall potential
- Find suitable suppliers and comparable products through Alibaba and other approved sources
- Check product cost, shipping cost, selling price, and estimated gross margin to determine whether a product is viable
- Create simple offer ideas, such as pricing, bundles, discounts, or other purchase incentives
- Identify direct-response-focused creative examples, hooks, angles, and video concepts that could work for a product
- Source and organize relevant publicly available video references for our video editor
- Add product details, supplier information, research notes, offer ideas, and creative references into our documents and workflows
- Create products in Shopify using our templates and process
- Keep product research and launch information organized and accurate in Google Sheets
- Follow our SOPs while identifying missing steps, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies in the workflow
- Suggest practical process improvements when you see a way to make research, documentation, or handoffs more efficient

Performance Expectations

- The initial target is to complete research and documentation for 3 products per day using our process
- As you become comfortable with the workflow, the target is expected to scale to 5 products per day
- Quality, accuracy, organization, and sound judgment are important. We value thoughtful research, not rushed or incomplete work.

Schedule and Availability

- This is a full-time position: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- You must be online and working sometime between 8:00 AM–12:00 PM PST
- Reliable attendance and consistent availability during these hours are required

What We’re Looking For

- Previous ecommerce product-research experience is required
- Understanding of gross margin, product cost, selling price, shipping cost, and general profit margins
- Experience using product-research tools, ad libraries, competitor-research tools, or similar platforms
- Ability to identify direct-response-focused creative, effective video hooks, product angles, and marketing concepts
- Familiarity with Alibaba or supplier research
- Experience with Shopify product setup is preferred
- Comfortable using Google Sheets and keeping detailed information organized
- Strong written English and the ability to understand instructions, product information, and written feedback
- Detail-oriented and able to accurately compare pricing, supplier information, product costs, and margins
- Able to follow SOPs while also thinking independently
- Proactive about identifying bottlenecks and recommending sensible improvements
- Dependable internet connection and a reliable computer
- Able to work independently while staying responsive to the manager and team

How to Apply

Please send:

1. A short introduction about yourself
2. A summary of your ecommerce product-research experience
3. The product-research, ad-research, or competitor-research tools you have used
4. A brief explanation of how you determine whether a product has enough gross margin to test
5. Your current availability in US Eastern Time
6. A link or screenshot showing relevant past work, such as product research, a product sheet, a Shopify listing, or a similar project, if available
