Aug 28, 2026
We are building and testing multiple ecommerce brands and are looking for someone who can help us move products from research and testing into profitable growth.
We need someone who understands ecommerce from the customer’s point of view and can help with product research, Shopify product pages, AI-powered ad creative production, competitor research, Meta creative testing, and eventually customer support and day-to-day store operations.
This is not a basic task-based VA role.
We are looking for someone who can think, research, make recommendations, create original advertising assets, organize projects, and help us move quickly based on real market data.
We are currently in a product-testing and growth phase, so the initial role will be **project-based and paid per assignment or creative batch**, with the opportunity to grow into consistent part-time or full-time work as our brands scale.
What success looks like
Within the first few days, you should be able to understand one of our products, study the competitors and advertising landscape, identify strong creative angles, and turn those insights into original ads we can test.
Once a product is approved for testing, you should be able to help prepare:
* High-converting Shopify product pages
* Product offers and bundles
* Static Meta ads
* Short-form video ads
* AI-generated product and lifestyle creative
* UGC-style concepts
* Competitor creative research
* Multiple hooks and creative variations
* Organized launch materials
As products begin generating consistent orders, responsibilities may expand into customer service, order support, returns, supplier communication, and store maintenance.
The goal is to **test quickly, produce more quality creative, protect margins, learn from advertising data, and scale products that show real potential.**
## What you will do
1. Research ecommerce products and competitors across categories such as fashion, accessories, jewelry, home, beauty, pet, automotive, gifting, lifestyle products and other high-potential niches.
2. Use multiple research sources to understand product demand and competitor activity. This may include:
* Kalodata
* WinningHunter
* PipiAds

* Instagram
* Other ecommerce research sources
3. Review competitor:
* Advertising

* Pricing
* Product pages
* Bundles
* Reviews
* Customer language
* Creative angles
* Shipping promises
* Guarantees

4. Identify the strongest advertising patterns competitors are using and explain why you believe they are working.
5. Turn competitor research into **original advertising concepts** for our brands.
6. Create static ads for Meta using product images, lifestyle imagery, customer benefits, reviews, offers, bundles and strong direct-response hooks.
7. Create short-form video advertisements using product footage and AI tools.
8. Use AI tools to create or enhance:
* UGC-style ads
* Product demonstrations
* Lifestyle footage
* Product backgrounds
* Models
* Image-to-video content
* Voiceovers
* B-roll
* Product scenes
* Hooks
* Creative variations
9. Create multiple variations from promising concepts rather than constantly starting from scratch.
10. Build or improve Shopify product pages with:
* Premium product images

13. Use advertising performance to decide which creative concepts should be iterated.

15. As our brands grow, assist with:
* Customer
* Tracking questions
* Order issues
* Returns
* Exchanges
* Supplier follow-up
* Shopify order management
* Customer service
* General store maintenance
## Creative standards
We are not looking for random AI-generated content.
Every creative should have a clear reason behind it.
A strong ad should ideally have:
1. Strong visual stopping power
2. A clear hook
3. Obvious product visibility
4. One main customer desire or pain point
5. Strong mobile readability
6. Clear product benefits
7. A compelling offer where appropriate
8. Social proof where available
9. A clear CTA
10. Enough originality that it feels like our brand rather than a copied competitor advertisement
We want someone who understands the difference between:
**a nice-looking piece of content**
and
**an advertisement designed to generate a purchase.**
## Competitor creative research
We will often give you competitor websites and advertising examples.
Your responsibility is to understand **why the advertisement works**, not simply copy it.
For example:
A competitor may be running:
**Buy 1 Get 1 Free + product close-up + customer lifestyle footage**
Your job may be to turn that concept into:
**Our own product footage + our own brand + different environment + original hook + our own offer + original editing**
You must understand the difference between **creative research and creative copying**.
Do not simply download competitor advertisements, change the logo and reuse them.
## Product standards
Products we move forward with should ideally have:
1. Strong visual appeal
2. A clear customer desire or problem
3. Existing demand or social interest
4. Reliable supplier options
5. Enough margin for product cost, shipping and paid advertising
6. Strong creative potential
7. Bundle or upsell possibilities where appropriate
8. Low trademark or intellectual-property risk
9. Reasonable shipping times
10. Enough perceived value to support paid customer acquisition

We care more about your **actual workflow, judgment, quality of work, speed and ability to learn.**
## Initial work structure and compensation
This will initially be a **paid project-based position**, not a fixed monthly salary.
We are currently testing multiple ecommerce products, so the amount of work may change from week to week.
You may be assigned individual projects or creative batches such as:
* 3–5 static ads
* 2–4 short-form video ads
* AI UGC concepts
* Hook variations
* Product-page improvements
* Competitor creative research
* Creative iterations based on winning advertisements
Please provide your pricing for:
1. One static ecommerce advertisement
2. One 15–30 second video advertisement
3. One AI UGC-style advertisement
4. A batch of 4 static ads + 2 video ads
5. Your hourly rate for Shopify or customer-support work if needed
If the relationship works well and our brands continue growing, this can become a consistent part-time or full-time role with increased responsibilities.
## Customer support
Customer support will **not necessarily be the main responsibility at the beginning**.
Initially, the priority will be ecommerce creative production, product testing support and Shopify work.
As order volume grows, we may also need assistance with:
* Customer
* “Where is my order?” requests
* Tracking updates
* Returns
* Exchanges
* Refund requests
* Address changes
* Supplier follow-up
* Order issues
Experience with ecommerce customer support is therefore a strong bonus.
## Trial
Shortlisted applicants will complete a **paid trial assignment**.
You may receive:
* One product
* One product page
* Product images
* Competitor advertisements
* Competitor website
* Creative references
You may then be asked to produce:
**1 original static Meta ad*
and
**1 original 15–30 second video ad**
We are not looking for copies of the competitor's advertisements.
We want to see whether you understand the underlying strategy and can turn it into something original that we can actually test.
## How to apply
Start your proposal with:

2. Show us 3–5 ecommerce advertisements you personally created.
3. Include at least one static advertisement.
4. Include at least one video advertisement.
5. Include at least one AI-assisted advertisement if available.
6. Explain exactly what part of each advertisement you personally created.
7. Which AI tools do you currently use for image and video production?
8. Have you personally used
9. Explain how you research competitor advertisements before creating your own version.
10. If we gave you 10 competitor ads and one product page, how would you decide which creative concepts to test first?
11. What Shopify themes, page builders or apps have you worked with?
12. Have you managed ecommerce customer service, returns or order issues before?
13. What Meta advertising metrics do you understand?
14. How quickly could you deliver:

17. Confirm that you are willing to complete a **paid trial assignment**.
Generic applications will not be considered.
We are looking for **real examples, real process, clear thinking and someone who wants to grow with an ecommerce operation long term.*
