**Xactimate experience is REQUIRED.**

You must already be proficient at reviewing restoration documentation and building detailed, accurate Xactimate estimates and invoices.

If you have never written Xactimate estimates yourself, please do not apply.

If you need someone to teach you how to write restoration estimates from the beginning, this is not the right position.

# YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

You will work with our restoration team to turn our field documentation into accurate, detailed, defensible estimates and invoices.

Our field team will provide documentation including:

* Photos
* Videos
* Measurements
* Moisture documentation
* Technician notes
* Equipment information
* Scope notes
* Insurance information
* Other supporting documents

You will review that information and build professional estimates and invoices.

You should understand restoration well enough to recognize when documentation supports additional legitimate line items that may have been missed.

We do not want someone who simply enters whatever information is handed to them.

**We want an estimator who understands the work, thinks critically, catches missing items, asks good questions, and produces a complete and defensible scope.**

Roofing experience is preferred but is not required if your restoration estimating experience is strong.

# ADJUSTER COMMUNICATION & CLAIM NEGOTIATION

This position is not limited to writing estimates.

You must also be comfortable communicating professionally with insurance adjusters and other claim representatives.

Responsibilities may include:

* Reviewing carrier estimates
* Comparing carrier scopes against our scope
* Identifying missing or incorrect line items
* Preparing supplements
* Providing supporting documentation
* Responding to estimate revisions
* Discussing legitimate scope differences
* Explaining why specific work or line items are necessary
* Following up on outstanding approvals
* Negotiating scope and pricing disagreements
* Moving claims toward resolution and approval

Our goal is not to add unnecessary items to claims.

Our goal is to make sure the estimate accurately reflects the work that was legitimately required or needs to be completed and that our documentation supports our scope.

You must be comfortable professionally defending your estimate.

# HOURS

This is a **full-time remote position.**

You will work primarily during **Phoenix, Arizona business hours.**

You must be available and responsive during your scheduled working hours because you will be working directly with our Arizona team and communicating with insurance representatives.

**Starting compensation: $6.00-$14.00 USD per hour, depending heavily on experience and demonstrated ability.**
