JOB OVERVIEW

We are a growing e-commerce business based in Australia, specializing in a wide range of costumes (Halloween, Book Week, Oktoberfest, 1920s styles, etc.). We are running two separate websites—one on Shopify and one on Magento 2.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced E-commerce Virtual Assistant to help us clean up our product catalogs, optimize our listings for SEO, and improve the overall shopping experience for our Australian customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• SEO Product Descriptions: Rewrite existing product descriptions to make them engaging, informative, and SEO-friendly. Strictly NO keyword stuffing. Focus on natural readability and high conversion. Experience with Semrush for keyword research is a huge plus.
• Meta Descriptions: Write compelling Meta Descriptions (under 160 characters) to improve click-through rates (CTR). Note: We do NOT use Meta Keywords, please skip them entirely.
• Image Optimization: Update and modify product "Size Chart" images (using Canva or Photoshop) to ensure they are clear, accurate, and consistent in style. Ensure all images have descriptive ALT text.
• Product Categorization: Reorganize and correctly tag/categorize products across both Magento 2 and Shopify platforms to make navigation easier for customers.
Requirements:
• MUST have hands-on experience with Magento 2. (If you only know Shopify, please do not apply).
• Strong experience managing Shopify stores.
• Excellent written English skills, with the ability to adapt to Australian English spelling (e.g., colour, centre).
• Basic graphic design skills (Canva or Photoshop) for resizing and editing size charts.
• Attention to detail and a strong understanding of on-page SEO best practices (Titles, Meta Descriptions, URL structures).
