About us
We are deK?r, a family-run home furnishings and decor brand in Los Angeles (
This is a detail-and-process role, not a creative or marketing role. We have designers and marketers. We need someone meticulous, organized, and genuinely good at managing product data, orders, and inventory at scale without errors — and who can keep the whole operational flow running smoothly.
What you will do
Catalog & inventory:
Upload new products from our vendors (Faire, Moe's Home, and others) into Shopify — clean, complete, well-structured listings (titles, descriptions, categories, collections, tags, variants, dimensions, specs)
Maintain accurate inventory — stock levels, availability, discontinued items — so the site never shows what we can't sell
Keep pricing current and manage sales/markdowns accurately
Run regular catalog audits — catch broken listings, missing images, pricing errors, miscategorized products
Purchasing:
Enter and track purchase orders to vendors
Manage the full PO lifecycle — ordered ? shipped ? received — and match received goods against POs, flagging discrepancies (short shipments, damage, wrong items)
Surface reorder needs based on stock levels so we never run out of bestsellers
Fulfillment:
Create shipping labels for outgoing orders
Process and track order fulfillment — add tracking, ensure nothing sits unshipped, coordinate delivery/freight scheduling where needed
Process returns and exchanges — generate return labels, update inventory when items come back, coordinate vendor returns for defective goods
Reporting & coordination:
Produce one clear weekly operations report covering: new inventory added, sales and bestsellers, low-stock/reorder needs, aging/slow-moving inventory, open POs and status, fulfillment/shipping status, returns, and any catalog issues found
Flag new products to our design team for imagery, and confirm they're not set live until visuals are done — you're the traffic controller for our inventory-to-live pipeline
Provide basic customer-service support on order and shipping questions (where's my order, shipping timelines, delivery issues)
Work with our Shopify/technical lead on any structural, data, or systems issues
Required skills and experience
2+ years of hands-on Shopify e-commerce operations — product/catalog management, order processing, and inventory, at scale
Experience with purchase orders and inventory management — you've entered POs, tracked receiving, and kept stock counts accurate
Experience creating shipping labels and processing fulfillment in Shopify or a connected shipping tool (ShipStation or similar a plus)
Experience with vendor/supplier product uploads — ideally including Faire, and comfort learning new vendor catalogs and formats
Strong with bulk product management — CSV imports/exports, bulk editing (Matrixify/Excelify a plus)
Excellent attention to detail — the single most important trait; small errors in pricing, stock, POs, or shipping cause real problems, and we need someone who catches them before they happen
Solid Excel / Google Sheets skills — for managing data and building the weekly report
Organized and process-driven — able to run many moving parts (catalog, POs, orders, returns) systematically without dropping things
Reliable computer, stable internet, clear written English, and some overlap with Los Angeles (Pacific time)
Nice to have
Experience with furniture, home decor, or high-variant catalogs (finishes, dimensions, materials) and with freight/white-glove delivery coordination
Familiarity with Faire and/or Moe's Home Collection
Experience with Shopify inventory, PO, or shipping apps
Basic customer-service experience
HOW TO APPLY — READ CAREFULLY. Applications that skip these steps will be ignored.
Start your reply with the word CATALOG so we know you read the full posting.
Describe the e-commerce operation you've run — roughly how many products/orders, which vendors, and what you were responsible for (catalog, POs, fulfillment, etc.).
Have you managed purchase orders and inventory receiving? Briefly describe your process for keeping stock counts accurate as goods come in and orders go out.
This role lives or dies on attention to detail. Tell us about a time you caught an error before it caused a problem — pricing, stock, a PO, or a shipment — and how you prevent mistakes in your work.
What tools do you use for bulk product edits, purchase orders, and shipping labels?
Paid test: Strong candidates will be given a short paid test — for example, uploading a few sample products correctly and outlining how you'd handle a purchase order and fulfillment — so we can see your accuracy and how you manage operational data.
We're looking for a reliable, detail-focused person to grow with us long-term. If you're genuinely good at running e-commerce operations without errors and you followed the steps above, we'd love to hear from you.
