JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a detail-oriented e-commerce finance assistant to help us maintain accurate financial records and daily profitability reporting for our e-commerce business.

This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with numbers, understands basic finance/accounting principles, and is highly skilled with Google Sheets or Excel.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and update daily financial reports
- Track revenue, discounts, refunds, and chargebacks
- Calculate and record Cost of Goods (COG)
- Track transaction fees and other operational costs
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly profit figures
- Reconcile financial data from different sources
- Identify discrepancies, missing data, and incorrect entries
- Ensure financial spreadsheets are accurate and well structured.
- Help improve and automate our existing financial reporting processes

What We're Looking For

- You should have a good understanding of financial concepts such as revenue, COGS, gross profit, expenses, net profit, and profit margin.
- Strong Google Sheets / Excel skills are important. You should be comfortable working with formulas, organizing larger amounts of financial data, and creating clear reporting structures.
- Experience with e-commerce finance, bookkeeping, accounting, Shopify, payment processors, or advertising platforms is a strong advantage.
- We are looking for someone who doesn't simply enter numbers, but also notices when numbers don't make sense and investigates discrepancies.

We will use the sample to evaluate your financial understanding, spreadsheet skills, accuracy and ability to structure financial information.

This is a remote, part ---------- position with the potential for long-term collaboration.
