We are a fast-growing e-commerce business building and scaling direct-response brands across multiple markets.
As we expand into new countries and launch additional products, we are seeking an expert Product Researcher who understands how to identify products specifically suited to high-converting sales funnels and dedicated landing pages.
This is not a standard dropshipping product research role focused on finding products to upload directly to Shopify product pages.
We are looking for funnel-focused products that can be sold through a dedicated customer journey, typically moving from a paid social advertisement to an advertorial or listicle and then to a high-converting landing page or sales funnel.
We are willing to pay well for someone with genuine expertise who can consistently identify high-quality opportunities rather than submit large lists of random products.
### Job Responsibilities
* Research and identify high-potential products suited to sales funnels, advertorials, listicles and dedicated landing pages.
* Find products with strong direct-response potential that can be marketed around a clear problem, desire, transformation or unique angle.
* Research products that are already demonstrating demand while identifying opportunities that have not yet become completely saturated.
* Use the
* Use TrendTrack and other current product and trend research platforms to identify emerging products and opportunities.
* Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and other relevant platforms to expand product research, discover alternative keywords, identify product terminology, uncover customer problems, explore niche terminology and generate competitor search terms.
* Go beyond obvious product names when researching. We expect you to uncover different keywords, synonyms, problem-based searches and marketing angles that help reveal products others may miss.
* Analyse competitor funnels from the advertisement through to the advertorial or listicle, landing page, offer structure, bundles and upsells.
* Identify products with strong potential for bundling and increasing average order value.
* Prioritise shipping-friendly products, ideally smaller and lightweight items that are inexpensive and straightforward to fulfil internationally.
* Avoid products that are excessively large, fragile, extremely heavy or otherwise difficult and expensive to ship.
* Evaluate sourcing opportunities, approximate product costs, perceived value, potential selling prices and available margins.
* Research whether multiple quantities, bundles or complementary products could create stronger offers.
* Provide clear reasoning behind every product recommendation rather than simply submitting product links.
* Stay up to date with changing advertising trends, winning funnels, emerging niches, competitor strategies and new research tools.
* Communicate and collaborate effectively through Slack, which is required for day-to-day team communication and project updates.
### What We Are Looking For
We are specifically seeking an experienced e-commerce product researcher, not someone looking to learn product research from scratch.
You should have:
* Proven experience researching winning or scalable e-commerce products.
* Strong experience researching products designed to be sold through funnels, advertorials, listicles and dedicated landing pages rather than standard Shopify product pages alone.
* Expert knowledge of the
* Experience using TrendTrack or similar modern product and advertising research platforms.
* A strong understanding of direct-response marketing and what makes a product suitable for a funnel.
* A solid understanding of product-market fit, customer pain points, emotional buying triggers and marketing angles.
* The ability to distinguish between a product that simply looks interesting and one that could realistically support a profitable advertising campaign.
* A strong understanding of bundles, quantity breaks, upsells and offer creation.
* The ability to assess shipping considerations, sourcing costs, margins and perceived product value.
* Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and other relevant platforms for advanced research, including generating search terms, alternative keywords, niche terminology and research directions.
* Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
* Fluent English and the ability to clearly explain why you believe a product has potential.
* Familiarity with Slack and the ability to use it reliably for communication, collaboration and sharing research updates.
* A proactive mindset. We do not want someone who needs to be told exactly which keywords to search or where to look.
* Please include word 'blue' in your application so we know you have read and understood the job post fully.
### Exclusivity & Confidentiality
This is extremely important to us.
We do not want someone simultaneously researching and supplying the same products or opportunities to other e-commerce businesses.
The products, competitors, funnels, niches and opportunities you discover while working with us must remain confidential.
You will be required to sign an NDA or confidentiality agreement before beginning work with us.
We are looking to build a long-term relationship with someone who becomes an important part of our product development and scaling process.
### Compensation & Growth
We are willing to pay for expertise.
We are not looking for the cheapest product researcher available. If you can consistently identify genuinely strong products and opportunities, we are happy to compensate you accordingly.
Compensation can be structured around experience, workload and results.
This is not intended to be a short-term position.
Our team is growing rapidly, and we are expanding into additional international markets. As a result, our need for product research will continue to increase.
For the right person, there is significant room to grow with the company, take on greater responsibility and become a key part of our wider product research and development operation.
### What We Value
We want someone who:
* Thinks independently.
* Understands direct-response e-commerce.
* Is naturally curious and enjoys digging deeper than competitors.
* Keeps up with the latest research tools and methods.
* Can recognise trends early.
* Understands that quality is more important than quantity.
* Can explain the reasoning and evidence behind every recommendation.
* Communicates consistently and effectively through Slack.
* Wants to work long-term with a growing e-commerce team.
### How to Apply
If you believe you are an expert e-commerce product researcher, we would like to hear from you.
Please include:
* Your previous product research experience.
* The research tools you currently use.
* Your experience with the
* Your experience with TrendTrack or similar platforms.
* How you identify products suitable for funnels, advertorials or listicles rather than standard product pages.
* Examples of products you have previously discovered that went on to perform successfully, where possible.
* How you use AI within your product research workflow.
* Your familiarity and experience with Slack.
* Your availability and preferred compensation structure.
* The word “blue” to confirm that you have read and understood this job post fully.
Please do not send a generic application.
We are looking for someone who already understands advanced product research and can demonstrate a clear process for finding products with genuine funnel and scaling potential.
If you are excellent at finding opportunities before everyone else does and want to become part of a growing e-commerce team expanding into new markets, we would love to hear from you.
