I’m starting a faceless YouTube documentary channel called The Money Alibi focused on unbelievable true stories involving money, scams, fraud, corporate deception, rigged systems, and major financial schemes.
An example of the type of video we would produce:
“The Man Who Rigged McDonald’s Monopoly for Years”
Videos will generally be 10–15 minutes long and should feel like professional, entertaining mini-documentaries rather than generic “YouTube automation” videos.
What I’m Looking For
Ideally, I want someone who can take a topic or general video idea and handle most or all of the production process:
* Research the true story using reliable sources
* Fact-check important claims
* Write an engaging YouTube script
* Create or arrange voiceover/narration
* Source relevant footage, photographs, documents, headlines, etc.
* Create motion graphics/animations when appropriate
* Add music and sound design
* Edit the complete video
* Deliver an upload-ready finished video
Strong storytelling and viewer retention are very important. The first 30–60 seconds should hook the viewer, and the video should remain visually interesting throughout.
Copyright & Monetization
Everything used in the finished video must be appropriate for commercial YouTube use and monetization.
Footage, photographs, music, sound effects, graphics, and other assets must be properly licensed, public domain, original, or otherwise legally usable.
I want to avoid copyright claims, copyright strikes, and reused-content monetization problems.
Style
I’m looking for someone with experience in areas such as:
* Documentary filmmaking
* YouTube documentaries
* Visual storytelling
* Motion graphics
* Video editing
* Research-based content
I am not looking for low-quality AI-generated videos consisting of random stock footage over an AI voice.
I want these videos to feel like genuine mini-documentaries that someone would enjoy watching even if they had never heard of the story before.
First Project
The first project will be one paid test video approximately 10–15 minutes long.
If the quality and working relationship are good, this can become consistent long-term work producing additional videos for the channel.
When Applying
Please include:
1. 2–3 examples of your work that are closest to this documentary style.
2. Whether you can handle the entire process from topic ? research ? script ? narration ? visuals ? editing.
3. Which parts of the process, if any, you would need me to provide.
4. Approximately how many hours you would expect a 10–15 minute documentary to take.
5. Your hourly rate.
6. Where you normally source footage, photos, music, and other assets for monetized YouTube videos.
Please start your application with the words “Money Alibi” so I know you read the full posting.
I’m looking to build a long-term relationship with the right person rather than hire someone for only one video.
