I'm the founder of a new E-commerce brand, and I'm building my dream team from the ground up starting with YOU.
This is a rare opportunity to be the FIRST editor on board. That means you're not just another hire lost in a sea of freelancers — you're employee #1 on the creative side. As the brand scales, the people who came in early get the first shot at bigger roles, more responsibility, and leadership positions down the line.
When I grow, you grow. That's the deal.
Your responsibilities
- Primary focus: long-form VSLs (2+ minutes) — structuring hook → problem → agitation → solution → proof → offer, with pacing that holds attention across multiple minutes, not just 15-second hooks
- Edit videos with clean cuts, captions, b-roll, sound design
- K now where to find source stock footage and music
- Keep project files organized (note: start your application with the word PIXEL)
- Turn around edits quickly and handle revisions without ego
Who I'm looking for:
I'm looking for someone hungry and creative who wants to actually matter — not be a tiny cog in a giant machine. Mindset over résumé: fast, organized, detail-obsessed, takes ownership, and handles feedback without taking it personally.
- Solid written and spoken English
- Proven experience editing direct response VSLs that convert — not just short-form social cuts
- Intent-driven editing: every hook, cut, and caption has a purpose, sustained across a long runtime
- Familiarity with AI video tools (Higgsfield, Freepik, ElevenLabs, HeyGen)
- Editing speed
- You actually care if your ad performed or not
The details:
Rate: $3.50/hour
Hours: Per-project / flexible to start, with room to grow into steady weekly hours
Payment: Weekly via Wise
How to apply:
- A short intro about yourself
- Links to 3 of your best edits — at least one should be a VSL of 2+ minutes
- The software you use and your years of experience
- Your favorite ecom brand's VSL or long-form ad, and why it works
- Your weekly availability
Bonus points for a quick Loom video introducing yourself — not required, but it stands out.
