JOB OVERVIEW

Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Digital Marketing Specialist with a strong background in growing newsletters and subscriber-based audiences. This role is outcome-driven and flexible in structure — suitable for freelancers, part-time professionals, or full-time tea ---------- mbers, provided results are delivered.

This is a hands-on growth role, not a content writing or editorial position. Your success will be measured on subscriber growth, email performance, and audience engagement.

An interest in health and fitness is preferred, but demonstrated newsletter growth experience is essential.

Core Responsibilities

Newsletter & Subscriber Growth
• Own and grow the newsletter subscriber base.
• Build and optimise opt-in funnels, lead magnets, onboarding and retention flows.
• Improve open rates, click-through rates and subscriber engagement.
• Drive consistent net subscriber growth.

Email Marketing & Automation
• Manage email campaigns, sequences and automations.
• Test subject lines, CTAs, formats and send times.
• Build onboarding, re-engagement and win-back flows.
• Maintain list quality and reduce churn.

Social Media as a Growth Channel
• Use social media to actively drive newsletter sign-ups.
• Brief and work with a shared designer on visuals, reels and templates.
• Optimise content formats for reach and conversion.
• Support basic community engagement where required.

Performance & Optimisation
• Track growth KPIs including subscribers, engagement and churn.
• Provide simple weekly performance updates.
• Continuously test and optimise based on data.
• Take full ownership of growth performance.

Required Experience (Essential)
• Proven experience growing a newsletter or subscriber-led audience.
• Strong hands-on experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Beehiiv, Klaviyo or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to use social media for measurable growth, not just posting.
• Comfortable working independently with clear accountability.
• Data-driven, organised and execution-focused.

• Experience with digital publications or online media brands.
• Interest in health, fitness or wellness.
• Experience improving conversion rates and opt-in performance.
• Familiarity with analytics and performance tracking.
