# Digital Marketing Strategist — SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads & Conversion Tracking
**Remote | Part-Time to Start | Paid Trial | Long-Term Growth Opportunity**
We are looking for an experienced, dependable **Digital Marketing Strategist** who can improve our clients’ visibility, traffic, leads, bookings, and return on investment.
This is not a role for someone who only schedules ads, follows checklists, or sends automated reports. We need a strategic team member who understands how websites, SEO, paid advertising, analytics, and conversion tracking work together.
The right candidate can audit an account, identify what is limiting performance, create a clear strategy, implement improvements, and explain the results in language clients can understand.
## Your Core Responsibilities
### Website and Google SEO
- Perform technical, on-page, and local SEO audits.
- Identify issues affecting rankings, traffic, and conversions.
- Conduct keyword and competitor research.
- Improve page titles, meta descriptions, headings, content, internal links, and website structure.
- Optimize Google Business Profiles and local search visibility.
- Review website speed, mobile usability, indexing, crawlability, and overall SEO health.
- Use Google Search Console and Google Analytics to monitor performance.
- Create practical SEO recommendations and implementation plans.
- Track rankings, organic traffic, leads, bookings, and other meaningful results.
- Stay current with Google search updates and SEO best practices.
### Google Ads
- Build, manage, audit, and optimize Google Ads campaigns.
- Review keywords, search terms, match types, negative keywords, bidding, targeting, and landing pages.
- Improve click-through rate, conversion rate, cost per lead, and return on ad spend.
- Identify and reduce wasted ad spend.
- Work effectively with smaller advertising budgets.
- Recommend when campaigns should be adjusted, paused, or scaled.
### Meta Ads
- Build and manage
- Develop strategies for prospecting, retargeting, lead generation, and conversions.
- Test audiences, creative concepts, placements, offers, and ad copy.
- Monitor performance and make ongoing improvements.
- Diagnose underperforming campaigns and recommend clear next steps.
- Keep up with Meta platform changes and advertising best practices.
### Analytics and Conversion Tracking
- Audit and maintain Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads conversions, and Meta Pixel.
- Check that forms, calls, bookings, purchases, and other important actions are tracked correctly.
- Identify missing, duplicated, or inaccurate conversion events.
- Test conversion tracking after website or campaign updates.
- Understand attribution and explain differences between platform-reported results.
- Maintain clean, reliable tracking so decisions are based on accurate data.
- Experience with Meta’s Conversions API is a strong plus.
### Strategy, Reporting, and Communication
- Review the entire customer journey, from search or ad click to final conversion.
- Identify problems with landing pages, offers, calls to action, forms, and funnels.
- Create clear, client-friendly reports focused on business results—not vanity metrics.
- Explain wins, concerns, and next steps in simple language.
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal team members.
- Take ownership of assigned accounts, deadlines, follow-ups, and recommendations.
## Required Experience
You may be a strong fit if you:
- Have proven experience with website SEO and Google search optimization.
- Have hands-on experience managing both Google Ads and Meta Ads.
- Understand GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Meta Pixel, and conversion tracking.
- Can independently audit websites and advertising accounts.
- Know how to diagnose poor performance and prioritize improvements.
- Understand landing-page and conversion-rate optimization.
- Are analytical, organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
- Can work independently without waiting for step-by-step instructions.
- Can provide examples or proof of previous results.
- Can overlap with some U.S. business hours.
## Preferred Experience
The following experience is helpful but not required:
- Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization
- Hospitality, hotel, travel, or booking-based marketing
- Call and booking conversion tracking
- Looker Studio or other reporting platforms
- Meta Conversions API
- WordPress or similar website platforms
- Managing multiple client accounts
- Maximizing results with limited advertising budgets
- Using AI tools for research, ad copy, analysis, testing, and workflow efficiency
AI experience is a plus, but you must be able to review its output, make sound strategic decisions, and produce original, accurate work.
## What Success Looks Like
A successful person in this role will:
- Catch tracking and campaign problems before the client does.
- Improve SEO visibility and qualified website traffic.
- Reduce wasted advertising spend.
- Improve the quality and cost of leads, bookings, or sales.
- Provide clear recommendations based on evidence.
- Complete work accurately and on time.
- Communicate progress without needing repeated follow-ups.
- Treat each client’s budget as carefully as their own.
## Compensation and Growth
This role will begin with a **paid trial project or trial period** so we can evaluate your technical knowledge, strategic thinking, communication, reliability, and quality of work.
Successful candidates may receive:
- Ongoing client accounts
- Recurring monthly work
- Increased responsibility
- Compensation growth based on performance, reliability, communication, and account capacity
- A long-term position within our growing team
Some clients may begin with smaller advertising budgets, so you must know how to prioritize effectively and set realistic expectations.
